Stein: We want recounts because the polls said Hillary would win
Hot Air ^ | 29 Nov 2016 | Larry O'Connor

In a revealing interview on The Alan Colmes Show Monday afternoon, failed Green Party candidate Jill Stein conceded (perhaps inadvertently) that the reason she’s calling for a recount in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania is, in part, because Hillary Clinton was expected to win those states.

Listen to the whole interview here, but I have pulled out the key statement: (emphasis mine)

The three states that we chose including Michigan that only just now declared its winner. This was not a partisan choice, this was zooming in on the states that have the markings of being most vulnerable to hacking because they had thin margins. They went the opposite way of what was expected and they had some kind of voting system vulnerability.

Hidden inside the baseless suggestion that the voting systems had been hacked (“some kind of voting system vulnerability”) was that key phrase “they went the opposite way of what was expected.”

Hidden inside the baseless suggestion that the voting systems had been hacked (“some kind of voting system vulnerability”) was that key phrase “they went the opposite way of what was expected.”

Sadly, Mr. Colmes did not follow up on that revealing statement and pull on the thread a bit. Is Dr. Stein suggesting that because polls and pundits had predicted that Secretary Clinton would win those three states something suspicious must be going on? Is she suggesting that a telephone poll conducted by a media outlet should be considered more predictive of an outcome than the actual, physical votes and the final tally?

If late polls had predicted a slim win by Trump in these states, would Stein still be asking for this useless recount?

So Stein is admitting that she’s acting as a proxy for the hildabeast with all of this recount BS? Is that where she is getting all of the money from to finance this charade?

If Jill Stein had simply quit a few days before the election, Hillary would have won.

Jill stein has nobody but herself to blame (or thank).

In Wisconsin all precincts have paper ballots and independent sepersre vote tabulating machines. Results are called into a central location to be certified. Voter ID also required. Opportunity to manipulate results extremely difficult. Possibility to overturn by recount given election spread virtually impossible.

Someone needs to tell Stein she screwed Hillary by pulling the fruit cake vote in PA. She got 48,000 votes. Way to go Jill. You eliminated Hillary’s shot at an automatic recount.

I would suggest a mental exam for Ms. Stein.

The cooked polls were part of their plan according to the wikileaks dump.

This disparity between reality and polls is what happens when the establishment and the left attack a candidate so vehemently that people are afraid to admit they are voting for them. That’s why voting is done privately.

Actually Trump picked Michigan because of Democratic nastiness from Howard Dean back in 2008 and because of Clinton NAFTA job losses.

Wisconsin and Pennsylvania were picked because they have traditionally have been Republican.

Wisconsin I believe was the birthplace of the Republican Party.

They all have suffered from industrial job losses, losses Trump is dedicated to reversing.

If I remember correctly Al Gore in 2000 wanted ONLY heavily Dem counties recounted. What did Florida say? - do all the counties. Maybe Ms Stein should pick up the tab for ALL the states. That could be a good thing - we would find out how many illegals voted and who really won the popular vote. But I’m sure there isn’t enough time to do this and she doesn’t have the $$’s . . .

“being most vulnerable to hacking because they had thin margins”

Quintessential “lefty logic”. Actually, such a perfect example that it’s being considered for inclusion as the example phrase for “lefty logic” in dictionaries everywhere.

We want recounts because the polls said Hillary would win

I am sorry Jill, but when push came to shove the deciding factor was that among the group that disliked both candidates is that they disliked Trump a little less then they did Hillary.

Trump was not their ideal candidate but he at least showed an interest in them.

Hillary showed no interest in them, taking for granted that they would just show up and vote for her.

And the guy who shows interest will get the sale every time over the gal who is indifferent.

With Trump they had a chance of getting their issues heard and dealt with.

With Hillary, she obviously could not give a hoot what their issues were.

The Cleveland Indians need to file a lawsuit challenging the World Series results. After all, the polls all said the Indians would win, not the Cubs./s
