Understanding Colin Kaepernick
Powerline ^ | 28 Nov 2016 | Paul Mirengoff

Those who say that Colin Kaepernick is a patriot acting in the finest tradition of American dissent thoroughly misunderstand the outspoken quarterback. This view was probably a stretch back when Kaepernick was simply disrespecting America by kneeling during the National Anthem.

Now, the view is untenable. Two recent developments show that Kaepernick’s behavior falls within the worst tradition of American dissent — the tradition of the totalitarian-sympathizing far left.

Consider first Kaepernick’s response to Fidel Castro’s death. As John reported here, Kaepernick took a “mixed” view of the bloodthirsty tyrant:

I agree with [Castro’s] investment in education. I also agree with the investment in free universal health care, as well as the involvement with him in helping end apartheid in South Africa. I would hope that everyone believes those things are good things. Trying to push the false narrative that I was a supporter of the oppressive things that he did is just not true

Colon who? He should be ignored like the nothing he is. There’s nothing to understand other than he’s a lazy disrespectful low life who should have been banned from football weeks ago. Fine by me that the NFL is losing boatloads of money every week. They only have themselves to blame.

His biological mother told him to get over himself but I haven’t heard a thing out of this adopted family. Keeping mum, imo (not that anyone asked) has put them in the same boat as the piece of nothing they raised.

I’ve posted pics of him sitting out the Anthem years before this. It wasn’t until it was noticed and he had to come up with an excuse. It took him weeks to make a statement so it likely was someone else who provided him the excuse. That proves he has zero smarts.

Kaper is an ungrateful pos and an idiot on top of that. It will be fitting when his muzzie whore dumps him for the next swinging .... He should take his millions-give them to R Castro and volunteer for the Cuban redevelopment brigades. What a pathetic ignorant individual he is.

I agree with two of the first three responders within
the publication responses. Kaepernick is not really
smart enough to understand just what he is talking
about.

Me, either.

Back in the nineties, a book purporting to get into the mind and motivations of Hitler was banned from being published in Germany on the notion that to understand all is to forgive all, and they didn’t want any sympathy springing up for Adolf.

Not only do I not wish to understand the chia-headed fool at SF, but I cheer his driving the 49ers into the NFL basement.

My Dad was a fireman/Capt. and they had a lot of fun at work. I’ve always been fascinated by the “secret” world of people at their work. The side their family doesn’t see.

SILKWOOD is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen that explores this hidden world.

I understand he got folded like a cheap lawn chair by a Cuban-American Dolphin to end his last game.

That’s all the understanding I need.
