President-elect Trump will hold a second meeting with Mitt Romney this week to discuss the position of secretary of state, much to the chagrin of some in his circle who have said Romney is undeserving of the top diplomatic post.

I used to subscribe to the Washtimes and know some of their actual journalists.
A few moved over to the Washington Examiner and do an excellent job of their profession but they're not the household names that you see everywhere now mostly on TV, like Woodward, etc.
I’m hoping that’s what’s happening too. Taking it one step further, it would be fun for Trump to tell Mitt today, “I’m still considering you, but only if you make a public apology.” Then, after Mitt does that, Trump can tell him “No thanks, chump.”

The issue isn’t Romney not “cutting” it. It is his record of his minions doing nasty undermining dirty work while he pretends to be above the fray.
We all have to send a message to Trump by saying, “NO” to Romney. Romney made himself well know prior to the election by saying nasty and untruths about Trump. He cannot and should NOT be trusted with one of the most important positions within Trumps cabinet. He could and most likely would be a disaster.
Sorry - this doesn’t make any sense. Trump is making a bad decision if he picks Romney for SOS - and will only manage to piss off most of his supporters. No good will come of it....
