Good!! They must think it’s a worthy jet.

Did I read newer generation? Didn’t it just start being used?

I forget who makes them but i hope Israel gets a discount because they are always fighting our enemies too.

‘Lockmart’ is the manufacture. And no all the bugs have not been worked out and is likely to be a total disaster for the US AF as well as the IAF. However, Israel has no real alternative counter to the Russian offerings stationed in Syria. There are some European fighter/bombers which could work, but are likely no match for the S-400 systems or the more advanced BCR Russian missiles and likely various SU variants.

So its a crap shoot for Israel. Maybe they can make them work, maybe not. Either way the F-35 will get a real world workout against a real adversary on a near daily basis.

“hoot for Israel. Maybe they can make them work, maybe not. Either way the F-35 will get a real world workout against a real adversary on a near daily basis.”

The Israelis will take the plane and immediately start modifying it to meet their unique strategy. Their electronics wherewithal is at least on a par with ours, maybe better. No worries, the Israelis will make it a good fighter.

The US traditionally relies on the Israelis (”Combat Proven”) experiences to help work out technical glitches with the new F-35. The Israelis push these systems to the limit and then use them in combat unfortunately. The US reaps the benefit of the Israelis’ experiences. After the horrible Iran Agreement, Obama sold the Israelis this plane because, again, due to Obama, the Israelis will indeed have to use all these systems just to survive the next 4 years...

The Israeli are having their electronics pre-installed before delivery according to the story. However, no amount of tinkering can make up for poor design and lack of ability. Jack of all trades is master of none - USAF or IAF.

Keep in mind that only one third of the ordered planes will be combat ready at any one time; that Israeli weapons pods may or may not actually work in combat; that despite what some imagine Russian S400 systems are as yet an unknown opponent and may well operate at spec.

True. Arson breaking out left and right. Tunnels. Stabbing. Hit and runs.

They can’t live in peace.

They royally screwed the pooch when they went VTOL. Marines and Navy made a strategic error by not going with ski jump carriers. Too late now

Call it “Paleostinian/Israeli Arab Arson-Terror”.

What haven't the Arabs thrown against the Jews of Israel in 68 years? They have done the worst atrocities against the Jews since WWII. When open warfare, hostage taking, murdering athletes (Munich 1972), poisoning, bombing, stabbing, you name it doesn't work, they Arabs are creative enough to think of a new way to kill Jews. It's their hobby and favorite pastime, well, when they are not doing the same thing to each other...tsk, tsk, tsk...
