Considering that he is not charged ‘yet’ ‘nor likely to be’, Capitol M is premeditated Murder 1 with extenuating circumstances, like brutal rape/murder. Vehicular Homicide is 8-20 yrs per person, or some LIB AG can roll it into 1. And make it 1 sentence instead of it running as Concurrent or back to back sentences for each conviction. Many of the lesser charges can be dismissed, to get a plea deal depending on the AG. You are still looking at 2+ years.
First thing will be a 30 day Physche evaluation, which is the norm.
I’ve done crime stats studies for long enough to know what TN does as I live here and am the mother of a Murdered Child I used those stats to keep his killer in prison until he ‘maxed out his good behavior’ days. Which is 1 day for 1 day served. My son’s killer walks the streets of TN a free man after 12.5 yrs out of 20 yrs, plea deal from M1 to M2. Lib AG.
Tennessee has 1 thing going for it not many states have, some have Statutory laws which are not worth the paper printed on like a restraining order. They ignored them like they always do. Halsam and the Principal gave pathetic platitudes the other day. Made me want to puke.
Good for you, I stood out side Kroger’s and Walmart and gathered signatures on petitions, and had private letters printed up I got people to sign, then contacted Every GOP State Sen or Rep. No use contacting dems, they are pro criminal. Had petitions in businesses willing to put them out. Plus I had Parents of Murdered Children and Citizens Against Homicide helping. It is a reciprocal courtesy when their perp comes up for parole. I left no stone UN-turned.
Second hearing I had 2 State Reps and 1 State Sen go with me along with a print LSM. All you heard was VIP in House when they walked in. Head of Parole board was married to a Dem State Rep, who has passed on. Still head of Parole board though.
TN stats say blacks do 6 months less time than whites.

I don’t buy the cost figure. If we have half a mil to sow wild flowers yearly 30 miles around Nashville that last a few weeks, or put in bike paths, stupidly designed medians with flowers/trees that impede vision of the road, that need a $50K horticulturist to care for them in small towns, we can afford to put seat belts in school buses.
