The precedent he would have set would affect the future...anyone can see why simply by switching Canada with Saudi Arabia or Russia
Somewhere along the way, you have missed it.
Scruz was born in Canada — cant be NATURAL BORN US CITIZEN, where he is already natural born Canadian.
And his mother was a Canadian citizen — proven. At that time.
Since he isn’t inclined to produce paper work, it is thought at this point that he isn’t a citizen OF ANY PLACE.
You can be a natural-born citizen of every country in the world at the same time if you have purple hair and every country has a law saying anybody born with purple hair gets automatic citizenship.
Our laws said Cruz was an automatic citizen at birth. He met all the requirements at birth.
You cannot seriously believe the Founders put wording in the Constitution to specifically ensure the absolute right of foreign-born people with foreign fathers—and hence divided loyalties—could be POTUS. Why would the Framers be so intent on enshrining the right of persons born with inherent divided loyalties to occupy the one office in which they could fundamentally transform/destroy the Republic?

You cant be that dumb. Guess just trying to make sCruz what he isn’t.
Natural Born is WHERE you were born — which is ONLY ONCE.
At his birth he met NO requirement for US citizenship -— since he was in Canada, his mother was Canadian — at that time — and his father was Cuban — and may still be.
According to your view, the Framers envisioned Obama, weighed the fact that he would do everything in his power to destroy the Republic, and concluded:
“But we dare not discriminate against those of foreign birth with foreign fathers. That would be politically incorrect, not to mention it would hurt the feelings of those who believe it their absolute right to favor the interests of their foreign fathers over those of the Republic.
“No, but in the interests of foreigners, we must enshrine the right of even a son of King George, born in England, to use the office of POTUS to destroy the Republic from within. “
I guess you know that zero’s father was American ?
The law is an ass. Legally speaking, Barack Hussein Obama Sr is Obama’s father. Many believe that biologically speaking, this is not the case. Such opinions change nothing from a legal POV. That’s just the way it is.
[ His mother still IS. Not in America. ]
The framers didn’t define how someone gets citizenship in the Constitution. That has changed many times through the law over the years. They simple said to be eligible you have to have been born with citizenship and not acquired it later. The Congress has always had the freedom to define the criteria of what makes someone a citizen and has changed it many times over the years.
There is absolutely no difference under current law as to the role your father plays in giving you citizenship vs. your mother. You’d have to be a “fantasy writer” to think our modern-day law can or does say that citizenship passes from a mother differently than it does from a father.
Cruz’ mother never lost her U.S. citizenship. That’s an utterly false, absurd, unsubstantiated claim.
You treat this as a legalistic game, in which the Framers’ original intent counts for zero. If you have an honest bone in your body, you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Framers did NOT mean by “Natural Born [US] Citizen,” ‘a son of King George born in England to a US mother.’
Support for Cruz makes people dishonest. It also causes them to play legalistic games with the very survival of the Republic.
*WOW*!
Thanks Gooch! For posting this timely article.
This changes EVERYTHING!
Now - at last - we’ll get the elections of 2008 & 2012 declared invalid.
All the legislation he signed and all his executive orders will be voided.
This is the find that will make The Gooch from Squirrel Hill a household name.
How does it feel to be the guy who brings down The Usurper?
In the Farmets’ day citizenship passed to a child from the father. But according to Leftists, the Framers’ original intent is worth as much as a bucket of warm spit. It’s only conservatives who care about original intent.
(Btw, only a fundamentally dishonest person would argue that by, “Natural Born [US] Citizen,” the Framers meant, ‘A son of the Queen of England, born in England to a US father.’)

Rogers v. Bellei, 401 U.S. 815 (1971)
HAS PRESIDENT OBAMA ACTUALLY DONE ANYTHING FOR HIS HOMELAND LATELY?
<><> $2 billion US tax dollars to the Muslim Brotherhood,
<><> $50 million US tax dollars to his tax-exempt foundation in the form of a grant to Kenya.
Total US Foreign Aid to Kenya (FY 2012): $749,236,440

What is done, is done. History has been written. It is up to the future to correct past errors. Let us hope that the rewrite is less costly than the one that corrected a long train of errors culminating in the establishment and perpetuation of chattel slavery in the United States.
Meanwhile, FWIW:
“The statute under which Bellei was stripped of his citizenship was repealed by the U.S. Congress in 1978.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogers_v._Bellei
“Until the Act of October 10, 1978, persons who had acquired U.S. citizenship through birth outside of the United States to one U.S. citizen parent had to meet certain physical presence requirements to retain their citizenship. This legislation eliminated retention requirements for persons who were born after October 10, 1952. There may be cases where a person who was born before that date, and therefore subject to the retention requirements, may have failed to retain citizenship.”
