Jill Stein now wants 6-7 million for a recount she says may not happen

Now it's 6-7 million, for a recount her website explicitly states it does not guarantee.

They were talking about this of Fox today, it's my understanding that recounts aren't automatic even if a candidate can pay for them (they have to demonstrate there may be irregularities that could change the outcome). So Stein she can petition for a recount but the board of elections is still free to refuse (then Stein could go to court and try to force the matter but that would take time). However, the entire point is moot anyway as a voluntary recount still won't delay the certification of the original numbers. So if under some bizarre scenario the recount found there were enough votes to change who won, the new totals wouldn't automatically be accepted. Someone would have to go to court and try to have the original totals decertified. Of course the obvious problem with all this is time, assuming the recount is even approved it will take several weeks to complete. The electoral college meets on December 19th, and once they vote, its over, no matter what the state does, the original slate of electors votes would still be valid and couldn't be changed.

They had set the table for the Russian hack BS long before as a fallback position. Could it be that the states they thought they had set up to challenge if needed, N Carolina, Florida, and Ohio were unexpectedly out of range?

Now, it took a while to regroup, so they are throwing this out there as a last ditch effort in states like Wisconsin and Michigan where they had no ready plan for.

Exposing the funding as foreign ASAP, before they can even file in Wisconsin could stop this cold. Tough to do given the time frame on a holiday.
