Don’t you remember an America without a “Department of Education”? How did this country survive 200 years without that monstrosity sucking up BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of dollars and imposing tens of thousands of pages of regulation on our schools? Maybe you are too young to remember those days.
“Drain the Swamp” doesn’t mean putting in a better administrator. It means killing the entire DOE beast — slaying it. I am shocked at how many are saying on this thread that a better administrator is a win. It isn’t. Shrink the damn Gov. Shut down departments. Sack 1 million of the 2 million on the Gov payroll.
Hell, give her $5 MILLION if she succeeds in killing it. We’d be tens of billions ahead AND we’d start turning out educated youth once again.
