Like the Nobel Peace Prize, Obama has rendered the Presidential Medal of Freedom to irrelevance!
I am surprised that he hasn’t awarded himself the Medal of Honor for getting Ben laden.

The list of tools and fools getting medals from Obama like actors are professional liars as are polidiots and presstitutes ..... Bruce being able to sing a song or play a musical instrument are impressive but not medal worthy . His opinions and support of domestic enemies agendas is not at all impressive even to his handlers but alas he’s on their list of tools and fools that agitate supporters of this republic we love....

It’s new in terms of the history of the Republic, but I think its inception goes back to the Kennedy administration....so it’s not entirely new. It has also been since the beginning about recognizing cultural contributions to the life of America. You are so right: Hanks has contributed immensely to that, and he seems to love the country in some way.
But Springsteen has contributed to our musical culture, and DeNiro has contributed mightily as well, if only for Raging Bull. I don’t think I would put Ellen in their category. She’s just an affirmative action / politially correct recipient.
Yes, many of these artists are jack asses. And yes obama sees it all about him, and all about fundraising for himself and whatever self-serving projects he does in the future.
With regards to the arts and entertainment, it is infuriating b/c we live in very good times in many respects....but much of this good stuff is done by horribly wicked people.
I can’t wait till Trump gives one of these to Jon Voigt. It would be better if we didn’t use this award as a partisan back and forth, but that is what it is, and he is certainly a worthy honoree.

Is Trump going to get a Nobel Peace Prize in advance too? Technically he’s done more for world peace than Obama did by this point, by greatly decreasing the likelihood of nuclear with Russia. The Defcon clock went down to the lowest level when he won.

I agree with your sentiment that BO had no business getting a "peace prize" award, for doing nothing.
However, I believe I stopped regarding the Nobel Peace Prize with anything but disdain, after one was awarded to Yaser Arafat.

It will be interesting to see how many of these felons, who’s sentences have been commuted by barry, return to prison for future crimes.
You know the answer. Most of them will go right back in, but only after millions more in police and court costs. Which is nothing compared to the cost the murdered, raped, mugged, and beatten victims will pay.

The awards no longer have merit because of this blue gum muslim. Everything he has touched is tainted and needs to be purged....he does this just to snub the real meaning ....it is a muslim form of warfare. Just like populating in enemy territory....they have done this for centuries.
