Donald Trump has repudiated the fringe "alt-right" group that celebrated his election win with Nazi salutes.
In a far-ranging interview with the New York Times, the US president-elect was quoted as saying: "I condemn them. I disavow, and I condemn."
He said he did not want to "energise" the group, which includes neo-Nazis, white nationalists and anti-Semites.

Who the hell is that jerk off? Libs are passing around a video of that idiot saying “Heil Trump” while his followers give the Nazi salute, I just saw it today and was arguing with them that it had nothing to do with Trump.
“Alt Right” is a smear name from the FAKE MEDIA (aka NY Times).

The so-called “Alt-Right” people do not consider themselves racial purists, white nationalists, nor do they have any similarity to the left wing media attempts to define them for the larger public, and smear them.
I said the same thing to my son this morning, when he asked me about it. He's 21, and wanted to know what the "ALT-RIGHT" was all about. I informed him it is just something the left made up which has some sort of negative connotation added to it, real or imagined...Liberals try and mostly fail at this type of grouping. Bitter clingers, deplorables, ALT Right, etc etc...

Absolutely. There is no “Nazi Party,” but this all my liberal friends can talk about. Something like 200 people showed up to their big meeting. I told my friend I can post that I was going to have a party this afternoon at 3:00 and more than 200 people would show up. It’s so stupid.

Had FOX on and had to turn it off. Disgusting. Trump disavowed the fringe extreme, not supporters in general as FOX would like to envision. FOX seems intent today on highlighting ad naseum the quirks in Trump’s statements as if each denotes a changed stance. They are ignoring the big picture and nit picking in ridiculous way. Again, disgusting.

Apparently he’s a former Conservative who found out he’s a white nationalist after he disavowed his Conservatism.
This is really frustrating.
DEFINITIONS of things are extremely important.
There are a group of people like those who frequent The_Donald on Reddit, Gavin McGinnis, Milo, etc... that fall under “alt-right”. These people are pro-gun, pro-sovereignty, anti-war, anti-immigration, anti-Islam, anti-globalism. They are not racists. These (mostly) millennials are good people who helped Trump get elected and like it or not are the future of the Republican party.
There are other people who ARE racist and white nationalists who have grabbed on to the “alt-right” banner. These are not people I would want to associate with.
For him to give a general statement saying he disavows the “alt-right” is really disappointing. He owes a lot to some in the “alt-right”. By bringing in the good, non-racist ones and keeping out the racist ones, he could cement a Republican majority for generations.

And it’s the left that sees the American flag as a symbol of hate but if you show one ounce of national pride, you’re labeled a Nazi by the left.
