the guy is a doctor not an administrator. appointing him to head a cabinet department is not playing to his talents and is setting him up for failure.
To be an administrator doesn’t really require talent. It’s basically a glorified secretary, as far as I can tell.
No, he was chairman of the surgery department. He has admin background.
Administrative experience is not necessary for a Cabinet-level official. It might even be detrimental. Cabinet Secretaries have staffs to handle that — and their departments employ thousands of administrators.
Agree. The left ventricle of Carson’s heart is liberal. In fact you might call him a liberal with “balance”.
I have the greatest respect for him but I feel he will get into that bin of lunatic socialists at HUD, not be able to say NO, and end up advocating for more worthless Federal programs. Then Trump, not wanting to shame Carson, will support him.
I hope he changes he changes his mind.
Dr. Carson isn’t interested in a “figurehead” position. He
likes to do real work, not just wear a fancy fake uniform
and prance around in epaulets while collecting a big salary
for doing virtually nothing.
I got an email a few days ago from him regarding his plan to continue his work with My Faith Votes. Sounds like he truly believes he can better serve conservative voter values from this organization. He is a wise man who searches for God’s will in his life. I sometimes think he is too good to suffer any more humiliations and attacks on his character which would be part of a high profile appointment in government.
How about a job in CDC or overseeing the FDA? Something health related?
