Dems Can’t Afford to Say Yes to Trump
The Daily Beast ^ | 11/22 | Mike Tomasky

Posted on 11/22/2016 6:03:14 AM PST by TangledUpInBlue

To make matters worse, as I noted last week, there are four Democratic senators from deep-red states who are up for reelection in 2018. The pressure on those four—Claire McCaskill, Joe Manchin, Heidi Heitkamp, Jon Tester—to support Trump initiatives will be enormous. Another five represent states that Trump won, albeit more narrowly; they too will face such pressures, so Schumer is going to have a tough time holding that caucus together.

If Trump is really master of "The Deal" then let's see him get things done. It might be to his advantage to court these "red state" Dems as the article says and eschew support from idiots like Graham and McCain. They should have come back sooner.

Do you have any doubts that Trump is the “Master of the Deal?” I don’t. The days of Trump needing to prove himself are over for me. I believe him. I trust him. He will do what he says.

Only a fool would bet against Trump now.

From the article a huge lie: “You hear a lot about George Soros and rich Hollywood liberals, and you probably just assume that liberals spend more money on this kind of activity than conservatives. Not so. “

Not really, no. But I will concede that being able to get something through the machinations of Congress (any Congress) will be a different (if not more difficult) form of dealing.

We need to send the kind of prayer after Trump, that we will then be asking the question “What kind of fool would bet against God?”

Look if you haven’t figured out that the dems will do everything they can to obstruct and subvert then you are beyond naive. Trump will do his best. Some where along the line the senate has to geow a spine.

You need to understand that Trump is NOT the “professional politician” that goes through the “machinations of Congress” the way politicians do...

These “professional politicians” STILL do not understand Trump or how he works...It’s coming though....

OK, they’re talking about “ethics watch” activity.

Sounds like we have a classic case of people in glass houses not wanting to throw stones.

That at least was wise. Now, let them throw stones if they must.

Heidi Heitkamp, Jon Tester

It really amazes me that there are two Democrat senators from North Dakota and Montana, for God’s sake.

Not to mention Joe Manchin from WVA, although he did a stint as governor and I guess they thought he was all that.

Congress are mostly criminals. Trump has the DOJ.

Hillary is probably selling her blackmail list right now.

LOL…and the Democrat media two weeks ago today was SO concerned about the survival of the GOP after Trump’s disastrous loss which they were gleefully predicting….and then the really concerned Americans went out to vote.

Just two short weeks….thank you, Lord.

We’ll make it easy for the Dem’s and not ask them what they think.

Use the nuclear option and simply run over them for the next 8 years.
