A few days before the November 8 presidential election, with Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton trying to defend herself against the FBI's announcement that they had resumed an investigation into their e-mails, her rival, Donald Trump, traveled to Florida and met With a group of Puerto Ricans.
On Trump's side was Reince Priebus, then chairman of the Republican National Committee, and now Chief of Staff of the President-elect.
On the Puerto Rican side were Puerto Rican[-born Idaho] congressman Raul Labrador, some 40 Puerto Rican leaders from the Orlando area and, from the island, John Regis, spokesman for the Trump campaign here, and Gloria Escudero, ex-commissioner of the Regulatory Board of the Telecommunications.
In the middle, as an organizer, a former government official with a successful career as a Republican lobbyist, who switched from Marco Rubio to Trump and who came to defend on television the now-elected President.
With Trump's surprise election to the US presidency, former Rosselló Administration's former Secretary of State, Jose Fuentes Agostini, has probably become the Puerto Rican's most prominent Trump administration, for the benefit of his political allies, such as New resident commissioner Jennifer González, and its clients, such as the Municipality of Bayamón and the Fonalledas Companies.

What did Trump promise the PR’s?
Is the Puerto Rico Commonwealth an “overbearing socialist government”? I thought they were American.
Pay more attention to Puerto Rico-specific issues that the Democrats only paid lip service to. Like Social Security and Medicare parity (Puerto Ricans on the island pay the same tax rates as in the states but only get a fraction of the benefits). Another issue is the high rate of local taxes which are suffocating the economy after so many years of liberal policies. They also talked about strengthening English-language education on the island as an empowerment tool.

What’s a “Hispanic Advisory Committee”?
Simply showed them that he of all the candidates actually had a grasp of the situation on the island, and understood how to turn it around. Their main problems of debt, balancing the budget, and reviving the economy were something he actually understood and could help them with.

Thanks, marron. I’m a little swamped here in the office but had to post this even if in a hurry. Trump’s appeal to minorities - people who need jobs - was misunderestimated. the Democrats thought everyone was locked inside their plantation.
