Nationally syndicated radio talk show host Dennis Prager called accusations of antisemitism against Stephen K. Bannon “libel” on Wednesday.
Prager, who is Jewish and wrote a highly respected book about antisemitism, was sharply critical of the campaign against Bannon, who is on leave as Executive Chairman of Breitbart News, and who was named Sunday by President-elect Donald J. Trump to be Chief Strategist and Senior Counselor in the White House.
“Calling Steve Bannon an antisemite is a witch-hunt … It’s just a libel, it’s fabricated, the whole thing is fabricated,” Prager said.
He reminded listeners that voters had been warned in 1980 that if Ronald Reagan were elected president, the KKK would be in the White House.
Prager’s guest Wednesday was conservative — and also Jewish — writer David Horowitz, author of The Black Book of the American Left.
“It’s the worst witch-hunt in American history, what’s going on now, and it’s going to continue,” Horowitz said.
“To take a pro-Jewish defender of Israel like Steve Bannon, and — with no evidence — call him an antisemite is hard even to comprehend.”

Prager is a Jew, and well aware the libels Jews have been accused of, so for him to use this word is very strong language.

As a public figure, and government official, I doubt he’ll act. Breitbart, a private company, that’s a different issue. Doubt Amazon, Google, & Facebook will have a problem over articles posted there any more than FR might. Those that wrote them, and their publishers might. Particularly the accusations that Breitbart is a neonazi hate site.
The harder they scream, the more I know Bannon’s one of the good guys.
Yes, it is. Alan Dershowitz has said essentially the same thing. And has extended it to the left wing of the Democratic party. On FR he gets criticized for that.

The website is a threat to the mainstream media as well. Have to separate the two, don’t know if Bannon is still there, but if so, he won’t be soon. Similarly Bannon is a public figure, very public as a government official. Easy to libel. Breitbart.com a private company. Rules are different. Some of FR’s lawyers can weigh in, but I believe it has to do with a requirement of malice when dealing with a public figure, difficult to prove. Not necessarily a factor when dealing with damage to a private company, or person, when damaged by falsehoods.
Journalists need to be threatened with lawsuits for libel and slander if they keep this up. Maybe it’ll force them to be honest.
But oh, they’ll cry that they’re trying to silence them. They’ll also edit any recorded video from Trump or anyone in his camp to make it sound as if they’re bullying the media.
Force is the only way to get the media to do honest reporting.
I think what is happening is playing it right. People are not buying newspapers. My home town newspaper has about 12 pages of news and 6 pages of sports. Many of the pages are full page ads. The printing facilities are being used to print other newspapers and ad flyers. If they continue losing credibility, I wonder how they will survive.
Klein specifically tore into the Anti Defamation League's screed against Bannon, saying that the ADL "disgraced themselves." He also pointed out that the ADL's head honcho Jonathan Greenblatt, aside from working in the Obama White House, also had a top-tier position in the Soros-funded Aspen Society.
Here it should be emphasized that Klein, unabashed Jew who has been working out of Israel, knows Bannon quite well from their business relationship. The Breitbart Jerusalem Bureau, which Bannon essentially founded and Klein now directs, has served as a pro-Israel counterweight to MSM anti-Israel propaganda operations.
I stopped listening to Dennis last year when he was virulently anti Trump. It really messed me up that he was. I hope he gets it now. This IS the President we needed. He seemed to have been swayed by the libs in this town.
But he would know antiSemitism. Prager is not just a Jew, he is basically a rabbi without ordination and wiser in Torah than many rabbis. I have been several times to the High Holidays service he puts on. He is so learned and so inspirational. I’d trust him on this one.
Don’t compare Dennis Prager to that pedophile Dershowitz.
