Professors call Founding Fathers ‘terrorists,’ founding ideals a ‘fabrication’

A humanities course currently taught at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs teaches that the Founding Fathers were hypocrites, terrorists and money-hungry barons who used hyperbole and fear to rile up the colonists to revolt against England.

The “Resistance and Revolution” class is co-taught by history lecturer Jared Benson and sociology instructor Nicholas Lee, who also suggest that it was Mikhail Gorbachev – not Ronald Reagan — who brought down the collapse of the Soviet Union, and that wealthy CEOs deserve to be in a “moral prison,” among many other assertions.

Calling the Founding Fathers “terrorists,” Benson and Lee voice criticism and cynicism against many of the events leading up to the Revolutionary War, teaching students the founding ideals were “merely a fabrication for a social movement” — a means to an end for the colonist elites who were tired of England’s control and needed the gullible masses to help them break free. They argued the Revolutionary War wasn’t really about freedom. The educators suggest that the only people truly affected by taxation were the rich. However, the rich could not wage war on their own and needed the poor to fight for them.

“THEY DESPISE THE IDEA!!! ALL THINGS MUST BE CONTROLLED AND CENTRALIZED!!! That is the only way in their minds.”

And in those demented minds, they somehow have gotten the notion that they are the chosen ones to direct the lives of the rest of us!

“The Right” is going to have to confront “The Left” regarding the subject of Marxists/Socialist/Communist professors.

Now that the Pubs have picked up nearly 1,000 legislative seats in Obama’s 8 year dictatorship, legislation needs to be passed in these states to defund radical far left tenured positions and abolish “Tenure” itself. This would be a start towards ending the poisoning of young minds.

College Professors: Top-notch experts on anything and everything there is to know, even outside their fields of expertise. Universities and colleges are factories of unassailable wisdom and knowledge.

Yep...numerous “powder alarms” in the early 70s. As well as the Intolerable Acts.

I agree these guys probably have all of Howard Zinn's "history" books. I googled Howard Zinn the other week. It's amazing how many anti-capitalist, anti-U.S., anti-constitution books he wrote.

That Howard assumed room temperature in 2010 hasn't stopped his acolytes.

I think that everyone commenting here is looking at this from the wrong angle as we are so sure of our point of view being the correct one. The history professor and the sociology professor are teaching from a different point of view; a view we all consider to be wrong. This should be an incentive for the industrious students to broaden their study to read other points of view about early American history -- there are so many more points of view to study. Only by broadening their study will they be able to refute the professors' ideology. In the meanwhile, by defunding the universities or prohibiting them the ability to teach or publish we are doing the same things that the liberals do by not allowing us to espouse the conservative point of view.

I’ve had it with these enemies of the state, mouthing off and filling young minds with mush.

Forget the safe rooms.

Fire these idiots.

And set a rigid set of rules the students have to abide by or leave.

Theseadult baby sitting and reeducation camps are so over!

It seems all of the universities have been converted into indoctrination camps with very liberal professors all across this nation and I keep wondering why they are leading them on marches against Trump so fervently? Why the personal interaction with their students which is leading them into workingas actvists for the Soros machine. This is happening with many major universities. The NotMyPresident Alliance was set up by former students of the University of a North Carolina. Many of the fellow alliances working with them are from former students from other universities so one has to wonder what the hell is exactly going on. There has to be a common bond and I’m not talking Trump. I’’m thinking maybe unions might be directing traffic at the behest of someone else.

> I guess this idiot professor, who probably learned everything he knows about American History from Howard Zinn, doesn’t know that the “shot heard around the world” which started the revolution was a response to the Brits trying to confiscate the colonists’ firearms.

And that their forefathers and the forefathers before them had lived under tyranny for 600 years before that. Yeah they had a lot of experience with tyrant's do they knew what happens next once they take your weapons.

I have a copy of Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States. For the same reason that Jefferson had a Koran. A fact lost on Keith Ellison.

Projecting one’s own sins on others (”them”...meaning us) is a standard element in the progressive/academic process.
