What Trump is doing is schmoozing and mending fences with former adversaries who would be better off as his allies.
He won’t offer them the positions, but he - though the winner - has extended a magnanimous olive branch to them, which they are now - by simple human nature - likely to accept.
Trump is laying the field for his coming “Spring Offensive” by putting out brushfires and turning neutrals - and former adversaries - into allies.
As Rush says: “DO NOT DOUBT ME ON THIS.”
THAT folks, is what is REALLY going on here.

Methinks the conversation will include the results of the election .... compared with Mitt’s. :-)
