We elected Donald because we're looking for sane leadership. Pursing impeachment with no grounds is totally contrary, and only throws more dirt on the dems grave.

Donald must surely realize what's in store, and I'll bet he's realized there's no compromising that will shut them down. Only defeat. Crush them.

There will probably be calls for impeachment for every President from here on out because of the deep political, moral, and spiritual chasm in our country. Some calls are legitimate because they are constitutionally based. Clinton is an example and so is Obama who blatantly and treasonously defied the Constitution.

Most calls, generally from the Left, however, are bogus because they are not constitutionally based. The Left itself is in defiance of the Constitution. Although Bush was problematic, I see no treason rising to the level of impeachable offense by Bush. Trump isn’t even President yet but its already started. The Left bases their calls for impeachment not on the Constitution but on their hatred of Trump, America, and freedom form unlimited government.

The culture war is in full swing.

OF COURSE TRUMP WILL BE IMPEACHED!

Now, let's get him into office so there's something they can impeach him over.

Maybe he uses the phone or walks into a room or something.

talk like this this is a good reason to keep the threat of impeaching HRC on the table for the next four years. Fair is fair.

Exactly, but try to tell that to a liberal who thinks Trump will go to prison over it.

But what I am saying is that if Trump U is ruled in favor of the flunkies who went there. What stops this precedent from being applied to all colleges and universities? Right now we have Universities who are wasting class time with riots and cry ins. Professors are not teaching, and the tests have been cancelled. Why isn’t tuition being refunded from them?

“Not with republicans holding majorities in both house and senate.”

From the article:

“many elected Republicans, perhaps most, consider Trump to be a threat to their brand and priorities. They worry that Trump is unhinged. (Who, apart from Trump himself, doesn’t?) To see Trump disappear and leave things to Mike Pence, a lockstep party man with all of Trump’s traditional rightist views and none of Trump’s eccentricities or heresies, would be a dream-come-true for Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell. Pence would be happy to sign all the bills that hit his desk and reverse course on foreign policy, trade, and, to some extent, immigration.”

The article examines whether most Washington establishment Republicans want Trump out and whether Democrats can take advantage of that.

Impeachment can only be brought up for infractions while in office. Jeez these people have no clue of our constitution and how it is suppose to work.

People were always saying that we should impeach Obama. If you know anything about how someone is impeached, then you know that it is very difficult to impeach someone and even harder or nearly impossible to convict. The House votes to impeach, and the senate tries the person. You need 2/3 of the senate to convict someone. That’s never going to happen. We couldn’t get Obama, and with the Republicans in control of the Congress, it’s not possible to get Trump. All of this impeachment talk is a lot of hot air.

“with the Republicans in control of the Congress, it’s not possible to get Trump. All of this impeachment talk is a lot of hot air.”

The purpose of posting the article was to make people aware of the Democrats’ intention and strategy.

I was not commenting on their likelihood of success.

The only thing in a civil trial that could raise to the level of a high crime or misdomeanor would be: Perjury. I believe Trump is smarter than Bill Clinton and not even as close to guilty of a crime as that SOB was.
