WASHINGTON — The congressional district seat reportedly being targeted for a run by Chelsea Clinton may not be vacant any time soon.
The New York Post reported last week that Democratic operatives within the Empire State are quietly grooming Chelsea to run in the Westchester seat currently occupied by longtime Democratic Congresswoman Nita Lowey.
“There has been a lot of speculation within New York Democratic circles about Lowey’s retirement and Chelsea running for the seat. There is a belief that Chappaqua is a logical place for Chelsea to run, because it would be straightforward for her to raise money and build a powerful base,” a source told The Post.
Lowey previously stepped aside for Hillary to run in 1999 for the New York Senate seat vacated by Democratic Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan. However, Lowey, who is 79 years old, told TheDC she has no plans to retire in the near future.
“You’ll have to ask Chelsea. I’m running for office. I currently serve and the future will take care of itself. I will keep running,” she said.
Lowey added, “I don’t know who’s putting all those articles out, frankly, but you’ll have to ask Chelsea. I am currently running. I am currently serving the people of my district.”

And it’s really not a laughing matter.

I think that Chelsea is not used to hard work. She has not kept any job. She is Obama like in her inability to hold a full-time job. Chelsea likes to sit on the side and critique others. I doubt that she would have the appetite to campaign and hawk for money as much as the job requires. I also believe she would not be interested to split her time between two cities.
Its far more likely that she will sit on several boards that pay her a lot of money for a quarterly dinner and a meeting. This is the new democrat way for out of work politicians to make a living.
If Shrillary is said to be not a “natural” politician Chelsea is truly the ANTI-politician.
She has no political gifts at all and is actively repellent (well I am a bit biased).
They may be able to buy and force her into some elective office, but Chelsea seems like someone who should stay far away from elective politics.
Life expectancy rapidly declining.
That would be a good time to run a candidate for the Conservative Party...pretty sure everyone is tired of the Clinton’s and the Bush’s...
She already stepped aside once so the senate seat could be handed to Hillary without competition. She’s not going to do it again. Good for her!
No better indication of the Clinton’s fall from power. Life is going to get very difficult for them, here on out.

When you have $300 million, real estate is not a problem.
The ONLY reason Chelsea would be considered is because she is a Clinton. Maybe they did not get the memo that the Clinton moniker no longer carries any weight. There will never be another Clinton or Bush in power.
