Back in the days of the USSR, the way a western journalist gauged the importance of an official was, first, by the size of his office, and second, by the number of telephones on his desk. The bigger the office, the more phones, the more important the official.

The irony of it is that if they want to know what, if any, renovation is necessary, what the scope is, who the best contractors are, how much it would cost, how long it would take, whether it could be done with occupants in place - they have the world’s leading expert on such matters at their disposal: Trump himself!
