CONFIRMED: Sheriff Clarke Vetted for Major Role in Trump White House
Political Insider ^ | November 16, 2016 | Rusty Weiss

As President-elect Donald Trump continues to flesh out his cabinet, rumors continue to swirl about the possible selections for various positions.

The New York Times is reporting that Trump may choose a prominent African-American to the role of Secretary of Homeland Security.

The choice of a minority should please liberals far and wide.

Just kidding, it’s David Clarke, a staunch conservative and man who kicks a** and takes names when it comes to far-left rioters and radical Islamic terrorists. A perfect choice for American law and order.

MSM/uniparty is starting to panic. This is from the Washington ComPost:

"For Senate Republicans, this is a critical moment to heed a call their colleague Lindsey Graham (S.C.) made earlier in the campaign — there is a time to put country ahead of party. Reflexive party loyalty now, including blindly confirming all of Trump’s executive and judicial nominees, would violate that maxim. Republicans need to vet thoroughly and firmly all nominees, but especially those who violate basic standards of moderation, civility and respect for constitutional norms. That means racially divisive and bombastic figures such as Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke, who stunningly called on his allies during the campaign to ready their “pitchforks and torches,” and who has been rumored to be Trump’s top choice for homeland security secretary, should be rejected."

I’ve seen him on FOX NEWS channel, the big question is can he and will he do a good job

That is the important thing will he do a good job and only time will tell.

I am not a big fan of how many times he showed up on Hannity during the election cycle (oh wait).

He has a lot of challenge coins (from pic above) but in my former life, have seen more but coins are not everything either.

Let us go to the line and we will see what happens in the future.

“I have a feeling that won’t happen, due to Sheriff Joe’s advanced age. He’s 84.”

You’re kidding right? He was born in 1956. That makes him 60.

He is a VERY GOOD

What makes him a VERY GOOD man.

Have been searching for his accomplishments (not just interviews on TV and speeches). Trying to find some substance. You know, rushing into burning buildings, saving cats and so on...

I have the same question. He talks a great game, and maybe he can follow through with action, too. I just don’t know what is the evidence of it. That is a huge job (Homeland Security) and we definitely have to have someone who can organize a huge organization efficiently and carry out what needs to be done.

I will be praying for the success of everyone who signs on to the Trump administration, but especially the legal and security organizations.

for starters:

•Sheriff Clarke was nominated in 2005, to the FBI’s 28th Annual National Executive Institute, a world-renowned leadership development forum for law enforcement executives conducted by recognized experts in leadership, media, ethics, international policies, intelligence-led policing, homeland security, and social, political and economic trends. The forums were conducted in weeklong cycles in Quantico, Gettysburg, and Ottawa.

•In October 2009, Sheriff Clarke was honored to receive the Americanism Award from the Milwaukee County War Memorial Veterans Board of Directors at their annual awards ceremony. The board, consisting of 22 veteran organizations, historically has awarded civic leaders and community volunteers, and not elected officials. However, board members said they chose to recognize Sheriff Clarke in “appreciation for his version of law and order.”

•Sheriff Clarke, along with a dozen American police chiefs and sheriffs, traveled to Israel in April 2011, on a week-long law enforcement executive training mission sponsored by the American Israel Education Foundation. They exchanged best practices in areas including airport security, intelligence analysis and sharing, public spaces security, bomb disposal, border security, incident and media management, the psychology of terror, and terror financing.

•In September 2013, after completing a rigorous master’s degree program, Sheriff Clarke received an M.A. in Security Studies from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, Center for Homeland Defense and Security, in Monterey, California. The competitive 18-month program included 12 weeks of in-residence study, course work, on-line study and the completion of a thesis. As a postgraduate student, Clarke collaborated with national security officials on current policy, strategy and organizational design challenges in security studies, homeland security and defense. His thesis analyzed the need to balance domestic intelligence operations, with protection of privacy and civil liberties.

•2016 awards include: Law Enforcement Leader of the Year from the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association; New Jersey Blue NOW Magazine for Sheriff Clarke’s “leadership and support to our nation’s law enforcement community;” Sheriff Buford Pusser National Law Enforcement Officer of the Year; New York Oath Keepers Leadership Award; and New York City Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association Person of the Year.

From Wikipedia:

Joseph Michael “Joe” Arpaio (born June 14, 1932) is an American law enforcement officer and politician...

He’s 84 years old.

And he has to promise to keep wearing the black cowboy hat.

That will ensure that he is pictured frequently in the European media. It makes their heads explode.
