The front of the story is that President Elect Donald Trump’s transition team requested security clearances for Donald Jr., Ivanka, Jerrod and Eric Trump.
The reason for the request is simple: in order to see the executive dossier’s and backgrounds of some governmental officials -who are under consideration for Trump administration positions- you must have a security clearance.
Almost everyone on the transition team needs a security clearance in order to see details of the candidate backgrounds. It is no big deal, and has nothing to do with anything except the ability to review information, candidate experience, qualifications and provide an opinion.
However, that said – the bigger back story issue as outlined in this tweet from CBS is far more concerning. It would appear the Obama administration is leaking private discussions to CBS news:

I’m still simmering about Trump’s first tv interview with CBS of all networks. This is the thanks he gets.

Trump won. Everyone knows WH and CBS is scum. A private server in the toilet and the maid reading the intel is ok but Trump kids not. What a joke.
As Bert Prelutsky opined: Obama stupidly misread his high approval ratings, thinking he was still popular.....
But the ratings actually reflect the citizenry's relief that he was finally leaving office.
I read the New York Times was going to transform from lap dogs to watch dogs.....

Obama: “I first learned of this the way you did, by seeing it on the news. And I’m more upset than anyone. This story was never supposed to be about me and my staff, people. You were supposed to keep it about Trump. I’ll be directing my staff to leak to more dependable reporters in the future.”
Maybe this leak will put even more scrutiny by TRUMP/PENCE on the choices they make for Cabinet and Administration positions. All leaks to the media must be plugged.

Happens every time there is a REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT in office.
The sensationalism going around these days is tiresome and pathetic.
Wasn’t that an editorial representing one voice? That would explain the sudden change of heart? We shall see how they walk the talk.
The upside is that clearly Trump is intending to have the tightest of inner circles (family), which the media won’t be able to penetrate.
They are his children, but they are NOT children.

Me too. Trump is smart and clever, but not infallible. The interview with 60 Liberal Minutes was completely unnecessary and politically risky in my opinion.
