Now look here it tells where the Messiah is born in verse 2
It tells us what tribe he comes from , it tells he is Israel ruler (king) , it also tells us he has always been

(Micah 5:2) But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Now look at verse 5
Jesus is the peace this verse is talking about when the Assyrian invades Israel .

Look at verse and he is the one that is going to deliver them from the Assyrian when he invades their land.

(Micah 5:5) And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

(Micah 5:6) And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

When did Jesus fight the Assyrian that invaded Israel ?
He hasn’t but he is going to , because he is coming back . That Assyrian is the antichrist that is going to do a repeat of Antiochus Epiphanes did . Not to mention that verse is quite clear about the land he comes from , the land of Nimrod.
