Hadn’t thought of that, but if so, it wouldn’t be very smart for him to not cover his trail. If the SS does do a real investigation, that’s going to turn up if it traces back to him.
Of course, if he hired it done, that should be an easy trail to follow, as well.
No, compared to some of the famous state prisons, the feds aren't so bad. Now Parchman, or Angola, or Reidsville....
