Got a link to support that?

This really pisses me off. We WON. I remember him saying he was NOT ok with gay marriage. Here he says he is fine with it. Where is at least, “it’s up to the states”?

I don’t like people courting me as a Christian and then spitting in my and God’s face. This is very disturbing and does not bode well. Where is Pence to kick him in the butt? And all the Christian Pastors that backed him?

Christians came out big for Trump. This interview takes place a week earlier and he very possibly loses.

A lot of cry-bullying is all that happened.

Businesses are still doing business here and the convention centers are booked with the same ones who said they’d never be back.

The sun still came up this morning.

Actually, the Supreme Court can overrule themselves any time they want. IIRC, they have done so in over 100 cases.

That’s the rub.......churches should not be REQUIRED to marry gays......people in private business shouldn’t be REQUIRED to service those who’s lifestyle they object because of their religious beliefs. That’s another reason I’m glad we have Trump. The liberals have rammed it down our throats (no pun intended) and if this doesn’t cry out for religious freedom I don’t know what does. I have faith that one day they will overturn gay marriage or at least I pray they do.

Look it up yourself. Trump was pretty much at the bottom of my list until he secured the nomination. After that I was 150% behind him.

He was quoted during the primary saying that the Supreme Court had ruled and that it was "settled".

I have a good memory. I don't need a link.

Who friggin cares what homos or their whole alphabet do out of sight. I don’t.

The rules:

1) don’t stick your homo in my face.
2) leave businesses that are religious alone
3) leave religious institutions alone
4) you can marry a shoe as far as I give a f, but don’t ask me to pay for it
5) Go Milo!!! (I do like that fagot a lot, but not in that way.)

This is not what he said.

You're right

No surprise. They are liars. We have to remember that.

I think it’s obvious what the media’s agenda is right now.

RE: We can get a religious conscience law enacted.

What happened in Indiana?

Good rules... the only problem is -— THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT WANT THOSE RULES and the homo activist want to use the power of government to destroy #2 above ( it has already happened ).

So, with the new Republican controlled government, what are they going to do about it?

I don’t think Trump is a social conservative in the normal sense.

He hasn’t promised to overturn homosexual marriage, he promised to defend freedom of religion. That’s a rather narrow promise if you think about it, but its better than the status quo.

It is on the basis of that promise that Christians decided to back him.

Marriage is a legal contract with estate, tax, insurance, etc. implications. Let them legally be sodomites but religious institutions are exempt as are the businesses of religious people from supporting, endorsing etc. Who cares if they marry their shoe. (really love that line)

He never said he was FINE WITH IT as he did in this interview. He said just the opposite, that he ‘didn’t go for that” and that it should be up to the states.

Your memory isn’t good. It’s selective.

When asked about Rowe v Wade, he said it was a state issue. No reason to think Gay issues are different.

Well, I may be reading far more into what and how Trump responded, but I’m not convinced he thinks this is settled law either.

As others have pointed out, it may be settled for the moment, but the judges Trump is going to appoint are eventually going to give it another look.

It was my read that Trump decided, right there on the spot, not to fight that battle just yet, there are far more pressing things that aren’t settled to be addressed first.

RE: What happened in Indiana?

In 2015, then Governor Mike Pence initially signed a Religious Freedom Restoration Act, or RFRA. He then backpedaled on language that critics feared could be discriminatory against gay people after a huge national backlash occurred against his state (including businesses and sports events that threatened to pull out of Indiana ).

RE: He hasn’t promised to overturn homosexual marriage, he promised to defend freedom of religion.

OK, so, if a gay couple sues a bakery (or any business) for refusing to service a gay wedding ceremony from now on (as they did with Sweet Melissa Cakes, which went bankrupt as a result of their losing the lawsuit), what will happen in a Trump administration?
