It nice not to live with illusions. Reality is much better.
Maybe it happens more often than we realize but what percentage of abortions are performed for that reason?
Even if one percent, there are ~1.2 million reported abortions each year. To find the truth one would have to access the stats of under-age females getting abortions ... aborturaies aren’t likely to give out that info since at least some of their murders are in complicity with a criminal act that resulted in the abortion.
My vote is for retroactive birth control.

Their “real sorrow” is due to the fact that they and other killers of the unborn may have their “right” to commit such murders terminated now that their heroine has been shot down in flames. IMHO they’re garbage, and so is anyone who empathizes with them.
I may not have been clear ... So many abortions are done to alive, SENSING human beings in the womb. An unborn child can even learn by twenty-two weeks, as proven with the startle reflex.
