Republican Arab-American citizen Nedal Tamer has been unfazed by Donald Trump’s sexual assault allegations, shoddy debate answers, or empty accusations against Democratic rival Hillary Clinton. He believes Trump will ‘save Islam’ once he becomes president of the United States.
Earlier this year, Al Arabiya English interviewed Tamer before Trump was officially announced as the Republican Presidential nominee. Now, after three debates and a roller coaster of a campaign summer filled with pointed fingers, leaked tapes and missing taxes – Tamer still firmly stands behind the real estate mogul.
“Trump already is serving the country; he left his work behind him. He left all this business behind him…he is doing this campaign for serving the country,” Tamer told Al Arabiya English.
“Sometimes he’s made mistakes; he’s said little things that he meant in different way but news made it appear the other way.”
When asked what Donald Trump would bring to the Arab world, Tamer replied saying ‘peace’.
“He’s also gonna help the Arab world and Muslims by making peace or by stopping the war. What’s the worst that can happen now in Libya, Iraq & Syria? People are losing their lives there for what? Hillary destroyed the Arab world…Trump is better for Arab and Muslim world than Hillary…she gave power to Iran, and Iran has agenda against the Arabs,” he said.
Tamer largely blames Clinton for the Libyan crisis, questioning what she did for the Arab region as the Muslim religion - even saying that she ‘betrayed the Arab world.’

“I think he [Trump] will negotiate and stop funding the ISIS. He will stop ISIS. I think Trump will save Islam,” The republican said.
“If we take these groups out of Islam; he is saving Islam and save the picture of Islam around the world. Look at where we are now and we don’t know what would happen.”
The Republican candidate has come under fire as of late after 15 women have come forward accusing Trump of sexually assaulting them. The New York Times has come out with an in-depth report in which alleged victim Jessica Leeds accuses him of ‘physically violating’ her aboard a plane in the early 1980s. The real estate magnate replied with a tweet discrediting the feature as ‘total fabrication.’
“Media controls 80pc of the population here. They believe everything the media says. These 5-6 women woke up now, one month before the election, remembering their sexual assault? It’s too obvious,” Tamer said.
In addition to these allegations, Trump has been caught on tape speaking lewd comments about woman to TV host Billy Bush, claiming he can ‘do anything’ to women.
He has since apologized - a rarity - publicly for the comments.
Tamer is among a small percentage of Arabs in the United States that have campaigned for Trump, believing his business-minded approach and distance from actual politics - unlike his competitor - are what put him ahead.
“We pray Trump becomes the President so we don’t have more problems and more scenarios by Hillary,” he concluded.
Make Islam Great Again?
Islam is evil.
It cannot be saved.
If the rest of the world is to be saved from Islam, it must be extirpated.
I never thought about Donald ‘saving Islam’, but this man has good points. Hillary has been disasterous for millions in the Arab world. Donald is already saying he plans to defund ISIS.
I fully believe most middle-eastern Muslims do not want to live under wars that never end any more than we do in this country. Don’t uproot them and bring them all here in a different culture. Some fit in and enjoy it, other will never feel American and do not wish to. Work at making their part of the world safe again.
To me this Muslim is a heretic.
ISIS is Islam practiced the way Muhammad practiced Islam. It is what Muslims should be doing.
If a Muslim can't abide by the fundamentals of Islam (subjugate convert or kill all non- Muslims) they should not consider themselves Muslims.
They just want to contort Islam to make it palatable for themselves , and us Allah hated Kafirs. -Tom
If he can turn Islam into a sort of peaceful exotic eastern Unitarianism more power to him. I don’t expect him to succeed in his attempt. Heck I don’t expect to survive his attempt. However if he can get them to peacefully accept other religious viewpoints on a equal footing. None of this special dhimmi stuff where other beliefs are simply barely tolerated. It would be a great first step toward normalcy in that part of the world.

Islam has proven itself to be a violent, evil Satanic cult.
I once thought that maybe some good person could reform it.
That, however, just does not seem possible any longer.
The evil in Islam is just too central, too much baked into the cult/Moslem society.
It needs to be destroyed before it destroys us.
Iraq had a large Christian population and lived among the everyday Muslims fine for hundreds of years. After we went over there and the radical Muslims had the opportunity to take over, there are few Christians left, having to flee or were killed. Same thing in Syria.
Plus, those Middle Eastern Civil Wars are pretty much the driving justification for the refugees.

If Trump could force the fundamentalists back into the holes from which they crawled, more power to him.
And to be honest, I don’t know who else could do it...
He’s right to an extent. Trump was against the Iraq War, Libya, Yemen, and many of these foreign entanglements.
