Canadian parliament passes anti-Islamophobia motion
Jihad Watch ^ | NOVEMBER 5, 2016 | CHRISTINE WILLIAMS

Posted on 11/05/2016 9:23:19 AM PDT by Mr. Mojo

The Canadian Parliament has now passed an “anti-Islamophobia” motion, “amid increasing attacks on mosques and Muslim communities in the country and throughout the world.” This is beyond bizarre, considering the truth about attacks throughout the world. Such attacks are most commonly on Christians by Muslims; against Muslims by Muslims, against apostates and infidels by Muslims. Add to that the jihad attacks in Europe and the rampant sex assaults and crimes by Muslims upon innocents. As for attacks against Muslims on Western soil, they remain very low. A much greater problem tabulated in hate crime statistics is against blacks and Jews.

Canada is slipping down a dangerous slope. The government and Islamic supremacists have now partnered to attempt to silence anyone who criticizes Islam. The Canadian anti-Islamophobia motion resembles a kind of blasphemy law in favor of one preferred religion above all others in Canada; one may be persecuted for expressing any criticism of Islam even when warranted.

“Phobia” means fear. How do you outlaw fear? “You will not be afraid! YOU WILL NOT!!” That’s ridiculous.

Does this mean that Trump will need to build a wall on the Northern border too?

It means irrational fear. And of course fear of death cultists is quite rational. But yeah, outlawing either rational or irrational fears is patently absurd. Of course absurdity is nothing new for progs.

They are able to whittle their way into any, and all, governments and make it illegal to say or do? anything about muslims crimes and terrorism?
Even rape and ‘honor killings’ are cultural differences that should not lead to jail time?
Soon they will fine people for have dogs, alcohol and bacon in public places?

The whole article should be read carefully though. Figures are that approximately 182 Liberal members (governing party)voted for the motion. There were 96 Conservative members who voted against the motion. Also, what is disturbing, it is stated absolutely no media outlet informed Canadians of this parliamentary motion and edict.

I know this for sure, as I do observe the television media in Canada. Well..... trust Free Republic to have jihad watch to tell the story. As for the male members of the Liberal Party, I would like to advise.

Get your elegant bottoms up in the air. (Chuckle).

So assuming this Act covers words as well as deeds Canadians willing to speak (or print) the truth are now forced to move from “islam is a medieval death cult started by a megalomaniac child molesting psychopath” to “wow, that islam really is the religion of peace and that Aiesha was a lucky, lucky girl to have found a guy 50 years older than her when she was 7,eh!”.

And then they'll have to do all over again in French.

GSC, this is not an act. It is a motion. An indication of their feelings. It is not law.

As far as I can tell, this motion is just a feel-good magic unicorn sort of thing and has no legal force. If the government makes the mistake of trying to turn this into a law, then I would expect the opposition to use that to their advantage, and if it got to be a law then it would meet with resistance all the way to an eventual Supreme Court challenge. I would think it would be too vague a concept to litigate, better to leave things alone and prosecute people for acts rather than opinions. This government has made no move (yet) to restore the widely criticized Section 13 of the Human Rights Act which gave grounds for prosecution of opinions, overturned by the previous government a few years into their first mandate. If that comes back into discussion then it would give a parallel legal track for prosecuting Islamophobia, so we remain on high alert for any appearance of that old canard.
