WBUR Poll: Trump Edges Ahead Of Clinton In N.H (Trump +1)
WBUR ^

Posted on 11/03/2016 3:09:10 AM PDT by UKrepublican

A new WBUR poll of likely voters in New Hampshire finds that Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton are now in a dead heat with just five days to go before Election Day.

The survey also finds Republican Sen. Kelly Ayotte leading her Democratic challenger, Gov. Maggie Hassan, by 6 points in one of the key races that could determine which party will control the U.S. Senate.

The poll is consistent with a number of surveys across the country that suggest the presidential race has tightened considerably.

In the last WBUR poll — just three weeks ago — Clinton led Trump by 3 percentage points in New Hampshire. This new poll (topline, crosstabs) now shows Trump in front, with a razor thin 1-point lead, well within the 4.4 percentage point margin of error.

Polls have come out in the last day or so showing Trump ahead or tied in places like Virginia, Michigan, Colorado and now New Hampshire. I starting to thing this race might be more a blowout than a narrow win....

I want to wake up the day after election and hear that Hillary has lost and fled the country. I think the Palestinians will take her in.

A loss might literally kill her. She’s too old to try again in four years, and she knows it. To lose her dream of absolute power could destroy her. I’d prefer that she live as a loser for long enough to repent, but either way I’m okay with what happens.

There’s a whole lotta chicken counting going on, when all we have is a growing basket of eggs.

We have to Power Forward through the finish line. Any Trump voter who does not get at least one extra Trump voter to the polls is not doing his job.

Change that to "Hillary was found hanging from a rope in her basement" and I'm on board.

I have always said that “I guarantee New Hampshire” (for Trump).

Here’s why. NH is politically quite weird. There’s a very strong libertarian tendency (mind your own business, and let me mind mine) which co-exists with the white Northern European “take care of your neighbor in trouble” attitude so common in very cold places among monoethnic European populations.

These two strains sort themselves out into “Democrats” and “Republicans”, but only the party leaders and organizers are real D’s and R’s, the former socialists from New York, the latter the descendants of wealthy families who got rich in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and preserved their wealth.

That’s why our House of Representatives (the largest in the nation, and the only one that pays $100/year and doesn’t provide offices or staff) swings so wildly. The “Democrats” came to power over the Iraq disaster, with a large majority, and were routed two years later when a Dad and Scout Leader was put in prison for (allegedly) scaring a trespasser with a handgun.

So, the core socialists and compassionate conservatives together don’t form a majority. The people are leaderless (in a good sense).

Handmade Trump signs started showing up last June. He came here in the late summer, and he noticed what none of the others did - the closed factories, the desperate white poverty (we don’t have any other kind), and the heroin killing young people at a great rate.

People are voting for him who have never voted before. Some of them wouldn’t know how to vote unless someone showed them. And the polls?

The phone starts ringing as soon as I get home from work, and stops around 10:30. If I’ve had a good day, I hang up. If it’s a bad day, I share a hearty “f*** off” (I wonder if those count as Trump votes?).

It’s not a blue, purple, or red state. What do you get when you mix a Gadsden flag with the red banner? An orange state? I don’t know.

I stand by what I’ve said before - Trump wins NH, not close. And I have a bottle of Bushmills Irish whiskey set aside for Tuesday night in case I’m wrong - and no more room to store .223.

Dear Lord, give us one more chance. #MAGA.

New Hampshire 10% for Johnson might be in the area... New Hampshire is libertarian. Their slogan is ‘Live Free or Die’

All these recent state polls suggest a Trump lead of about 4 or 5 percent nationally.

Looking like he might just pull this off!

As one of those “Massholes” that you Granite Staters so often curse I've gotta point out to you that a huge percentage of your voters were born outside the state.Born in states like Massachusetts (ugh)...Vermont (yikes) and Maine.

I hope you’re right. I would add though that unfortunately those cold northern European nations are not nearly as homogeneous as they used to be.

The Former Twelfth Lady will never, never,*ever* repent.

And neither will BillyBob.

It could happen. Humiliation can cause a rethink of your worldview.

She and Bill could repent.

With God, all things are possible.

I didn’t say it was likely, but we can dream, can’t we? Cubs fans dreamed of coming back from a 3-1 deficit this year. Trump fans dreamed of coming back from an election that we were told was over. With God, all things are possible, even Hillary finding Jesus. [I’ll admit some things are much less likely than others.]
