Families struggling with socialism: Obamacare tripled my costs for much less coverage
Conservative Review ^ | 11/2/16 | Daniel Horowitz

Posted on 11/02/2016 1:38:18 PM PDT by SoFloFreeper

...Our premium has tripled to a crushing cost of $1,288 per month, over $15,000 a year. Just this year’s increase alone will be $467 a month, $5,600 a year. Remember, my entire premium was less than $5,000 before Obamacare. And what do we get for the crushing cost? We pay money in order to pay money. The deductible has gone from $5,000 to $13,100, and unlike with our previous plan, nothing but the dubious “annual well visits” are covered prior to meeting the deductible. That means one must shell out roughly $28,000 in a given year before one red cent of routine or emergency medical care is even partially covered.

I have sent the attachment/link to our younger relatives and friends to read and consider an alternative to Obozocare:

Make that FIVE sharing ministries…
Posted on December 13, 2013 by Sean Parnell
I’ve mentioned and explained health care sharing ministries several times in the past, and when I discuss alternatives to conventional health insurance they are usually the first thing I mention. To summarize the key benefits of these voluntary organizations of like-minded individuals that agree to share medical bills between members:

They offer protection from large medical expenses that are generally comparable to conventional health insurance
The cost of membership is typically much less than conventional health insurance.

Members know that they aren’t supporting what they might consider immoral or reckless lifestyles or paying for objectionable services like abortion.

Members of health care sharing ministries are exempt from having to pay Obamacare’s tax on being uninsured, even though ministries are not insurance.

If BigEars has anything to do with it, you would have a $25,000 deductible.

Am I supposed to feel sorry for people?

People like me ***WARNED*** everyone what was coming.

And we were laughed at, mocked, made fun of and called “kooks”.

There are people who I’ve known for 20 years who will never talk to me again.

I ***TOLD THEM*** this was coming.

They didn’t listen.
They didn’t care.

So deal with it.

Yeah, we could repeal Obamacare.

But then some rich guy would get a tax cut he doesn’t need.

So we’re gonna keep it. :)

I had (crappy and expensive) Blue Cross- now I have nothing. And I’m paying to give free health care to legions of illegal immigrants and “refuges.”

Putin has never done anything to me personally. The Democrats, Obama, and Hillary took away my health insurance. Thanks!

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m waiting for the Obamacare ax to fall on my family.

Which is chump change for him and his elite cohorts. He just spoke last week at a $100,000 per plate dinner in Beverly Hills. Who knows how many millions he'll make after leaving the White House. He even has his own health insurance, as does the rest of the government. The little people can fend for themselves.

One of many similar horror stories. If you aren’t getting Medicaid (paid by taxpayers) Obamacare is a disaster.

And those who don’t want to work get your plan for free with no deductible.

My employer used to provide totally free, to me, high quality health insurance.
But when ObozoCare went in to effect, they couldn’t afford it any more.

Now I pay $800 a month for lousy BCBS Bronze plan garbage...............

When will will the rest of America learn that the path we are following is not SOCIALISM in any way shape or form.

It is nothing other than COMMUNISM and I will explain why. Socialism DEMANDS a thriving Middle class and Everyone pays their way. Even those drawing a check from the Government pay their share in taxes. Socialism is EXPENSIVE, Communism is NOT. America with trillions upon trillions of dollars in debt has only two options.

1. Make America great again and pay off the debt (settle)
2. Fall into Communism.

We are way past the hope of Socialism, if that were to be any hope at all.

Make everyone pay taxes and then we might make some strive to better themselves. This is why I left Australia and came to the US. This is still the land where dreams come true, more so than any other country.

I’m sure Daniel Horowitz makes a lot more money than hubby and I do and we have been paying that much for a couple of years now. Just me and hubby. Private, not ACA, plan.

I have a friend on Facebook whose premium is now more than his monthly salary. That canNOT be sustained! No way...no how!

We’ve GOT to get rid of this obscenity and NOT replace it. That is one of the things Trump says that totally disagree with. No replacement of a failed program. Just repeal it and let people find their insurance from healthy insurance companies like they did before this fiasco!

Had a call from a mother today. Is looking for a psychotherapist to see her son. They have Texas Medicaid. Said she had called eight doctors and no one will accept their insurance. None of the nine doctors that we work with accepts any Medicaid or Medicare plans so her number of rejections is rising.

“If BigEars has anything to do with it, you would have a $25,000 deductible.”

If you do the math (12x $1288 monthly premiums + $13,100 deductible) you’ll see the effective deductible is $28,556.00 for the man in the article.
