Not bizarre, propaganda. They see it as more important to spread the socialist ideology and help socialists gain power than their original duty, to tell the truth especially about those in power.
The liberal indoctrination of news media is now 100% complete at most outlets - to tell the official truth is more important than the real truth, politics comes first and colors everything else.
The watch dogs have become lap dogs, because they think that’s the right and moral thing to do.

Actually from the 30’s in radio news to about 1970.
I lived it in Radio news at KLIF News in Dallas from 1967 to 1970 as a news reporter. There were actually news standards and practices exactly as I described.
Really? Because in the early 30s the New York Times was busy lying about Stalin and his starving of millions in the Ukraine and the overall wonders of the Soviet Union. Walter Cronkite lied his butt off about the war in Vietnam in the late 60s - early 70s. Mark Twain has plenty of quotes about the “quality” of journalism in the late 19th century. While working on research papers in college, I saw plenty of examples of reporters inserting their personal biases in their stories from the 1800s. The media have always pushed their agendas and have never, ever been objective, honest or reliable.
Here’s how far gone PMSNBC is. On Sunday, while discussing the FBI’s announcement of taking a look at Weiner’s laptop for HRC-related e-mails, their on-screen message called it “Comey-Gate”. Excuse me? Since when is the scandal of a politician named after the investigator?
The media are only one of the many attack dogs of the Democrats. The dishonesty, bias, and corruption in our institutions has reached a level beyond anything I would have ever imagined seeing in my own country. I marvel at Trump’s bravery. He could have stayed out of politics. He was doing well for himself; his life was good. But he chose to fight for his country and stayed in the battle even when abandoned by the party leaders who should have fought alongside of him. We are lucky to have a warrior like him, and we need to support him and pray for his protection.
Doesn’t matter: they are FORCED to talk about this issue and Hillary already has the reputation of being a liar and crook.
