Survey: 35% of federal workers may consider leaving their jobs if Trump wins

Of course, for many conservatives hearing these survey results, their first response is likely along the lines of, “Good riddance. Can we start with the workers at the VA?” That’s not just anecdotal either. A different survey previously highlighted in the same outlet showed that a significant majority of Trump voters aren’t exactly wild about federal workers to begin with.

Donald Trump supporters do not like federal employees very much, though the feeling does not appear to be mutual.

Trump supporters are nearly united in their frustration with federal government policies, according to a new survey from Rasmussen Reports, with 96 percent saying they are “angry” at them. Just 36 percent of Hillary Clinton supporters said the same.

About six in 10 backers of the Republican nominee say the federal government rarely or never does the right thing. Nine in 10 disagree that federal government is a “protector of individual liberty.”

So if anyone is looking to use this survey as a reason to scare Trump voters away from the polls it’s likely to backfire. Most of those federal workers aren’t going anywhere, and if they did there wouldn’t be too many tears shed over it in conservative circles.

Okey-Dokey with me.

I suspect that the problem of government corruption will be much like the problem of illegals.

We don't need to deport all 12 (or 20, or 40) million illegals. We just need to make it plain that they *will* be deported, if caught, and cut off benefits to the rest. Most will leave on their own. The remaining number will be able to be dealt with.

Ditto the current batch of gov't kleptocrats. We don't need to prosecute all of them, just a few, and make it plain that we mean business. Most of the rest will find their way out of government (into academia, I'd bet....) and we'll be able to deal with whoever is leftover.

They are lying. After nuclear war, the only living things will be cockroaches and government bureaucrats, and it will be difficult to tell the difference.

1) Smaller federal government = "WIN"

2) What are they afraid of, that they'll actually have to work?

There are lot of federal workers who support Trump, many of them privately. If Trump wins those 35 percent, and more, are probably going to lose their overpaid jobs to privatization, which will be a good thing.

Utter nonsense; with the exception of the military, the defense agencies, the Border Patrol, Customs, CIA, maybe NASA, the vast bulk of federal employees cannot hope to match their federal salaries and bennies. Plus, who in their right mind would HIRE someone from HUD, HHS, DOT, Labor and a slew of other federal agencies?

Oh thank you God. No disrespect of God here. This is great news!

I however don’t believe it for a moment.

Getting someone out of a government job takes two tow trucks, ten crowbars, a gallon of axil grease, a quart of super glue remover, a pastor, a priest, a rabbi, an islamic whatever, and a fortnight of elbow grease.

At least two exorcisms are to be expected.

“May consider” until they realize they can't get a job paying as much, doing as little, with the great benefit package anywhere else. Then, they'll shrug and go back to their job, grumbling like they always do. Bureaucracy is the only perpetual motion machine in the universe.

According to Wikipedia there are 15,190 employees in the EPA alone. They could assign 1 employee to each county in each state and reduce the number of employees to 3,144. Of, course that still about 3,144 too many...
