His organization will be fine.

Godspeed, Mr. Chick.

James 2:12 For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

Yep. He'll have a lot to answer for.

So will the people who hate him.

They are no different than him.

If the Vatican really had a super computer that could track the movements of all Protestants, you’d think they could keep my Parish website up somehow.

Think whatever you like about his tracts and his views, his booklet “The Next Step” was as good a launch pad for the new Christian life as I have ever seen.

I can think of no better literature to put into the hands of a new convert.

He really was a good cartoonist, or whoever did a lot of the art had real underground thing going.

As far as the Catholic stuff, we always laughed at it. The folks who placed these things around were laughed at too, but we probably should have been more charitable. They order the things, then travel go to our parking lot and distribute them. That is caring pretty hard I reckon, even if they were nutrageous rubes for buying that stuff in the first place.

Freegards

I wouldn’t recommend that of course.

I could see an alternative schtick for Christian kids. They would go around and instead of Trick or Treat they’d call out “God Bless You” and maybe hand out (non-Chick!) gospel tracts to the houses they meet.

He was an odd duck. Used to think he was over the top.

Still think he was over the top but he had some points occasionally.

Jesus’ disciples were also nutrageous rubes sometimes: “Lord, shall we call fire down upon them?” “Aw shoot, Jesus, You’re never going to go to a cross!”

Jesus, of course, knew what was appropriate and what wasn’t.

That does sound really wild. How on earth would they ever get the data, with the plethora of congregations and denominations? They got spies in all of ‘em or something?

The tinfoil and the overgeneralizations were flies that made the ointment stink.

He was sort of like watching Ancient Aliens.

You spend three quarters of the time with your head cocked going "Eh? How on earth did you reach that conclusion?"

He did hate communists, the UN, the mainstream media and hippies.

Wonder what Jack Chick will be thinking in Heaven when he’s surrounded by a few hundred Popes?

Few hundred popes in heaven. Not bloody likely.

Hey, they were just concerned about your falling for Satans greatest work of deception (along with Islam). I escaped the Catholic cult. I know.
