Famed American anti-war activist Tom Hayden has died aged 76.

Hayden died in his home in Santa Monica "after a lengthy illness", the Los Angeles Times reports.

I met Hayden at a Hollywood party once, during his time as a US Congressman. He made some (banal) public remarks, and then hung around to hobnob with the celebs. In addition to being a commie, he was stupid. May he RIP.
