When both parties agreed to make campaign season longer, it was felt that the decision was made to wear down the voters, have them tune out and become complacent. This was for no one’s benefit but the elites’. Certainly not to benefit WTP; we’ve never been offered consideration in the past.

It has to do with TV because petitioners have no right to legislate silencing others’ political speech (even per proximity to an election date), TV included. If someone wants to run an ad or show about a candidate, and the network is willing to, then they have that right. Threatening people for “campaigning too early” is evil.
