Strikingly clear drone footage shows a vehicle laden with explosives destroy an entire Afghan army compound in a matter of seconds, after a Taliban militant drives unhindered onto the base.
A vehicle is seen approaching the outpost in the footage published Friday.
The vehicle drives through the open gates and continues apparently unchecked into the heart of the outpost.
Seconds later, the entire compound goes up in flames.

The Taliban have drones? What in the name of hell are we still doing there and what other toys do the Taliban have?
We need to get the hell out of that Godforsaken place. I’d be heartbroken if my son/daughter or grandson/daughter had to serve over in Afghanistan or Iraq.
We’ve spent hundreds of billions of our tax dollars and more importantly lost precious blood & treasure for what???? For Obama, a terrorist sympathizer, who wants to destroy our country? He’s damned near done it and made a joke out of our country while abandoning our allies and trying to befriend our enemies - who’ve laughed in our face because of his pathetic weakness.

Drones with wireless video are available everywhere to anyone who can click and use a credit card.
I have seen 8 rotor drones for sale on line that could easily carry a small block of C4 with a blasting cap. I saw a news account where terrorists either in Afghanistan or Iraq had delivered an explosive that way and caused casualties.

Well, the operators of that compound are/were inept novices and they paid for it.
Why that vehicle was allowed to cover hundreds of yards of roadway without being shredded by a Quad 50 is beyond me.

My neighbor has a 4 rotor drone that carries a camera, he says it has a range as far as he can see it, probably farther.
My point is, they are very common. I can see the Taliban having something really inexpensive (compared to ours), carrying cameras or having small explosive payloads. And, having small portable command stations (such as a truck) where they are flown from.

They didn’t take simple security precautions and they paid the price.
A few Jersey barriers and an RPG could have prevented this.
I sure hate to give Joe Biden credit for anything, but after 9/11 his advice was to bomb the place from the air. Hit every training base over and over until they run out of tents. No massive ground invasion.

After watching the video I am not convinced it was a IED. It could just as easily be bomb dropped by the good guys targeting the vehicle or the compound.
