Paul Ryan Could Be Ousted In 4 Weeks, Lame Duck Would Be In Chaos
forbes.com ^ | 10/23/16 | Stan Collender

I may have been way too optimistic a week ago when I posted that it was “hard to come up with a realistic scenario that ends with Paul Ryan (R-WI) as speaker of the House of Representatives in the next Congress.”

Never mind the next Congress: It now looks like Ryan could be deposed or forced to resign this Congress in the lame duck session that begins a week after Election Day.

In other words, Ryan may no longer be speaker about four weeks from now.

I say this after hearing from several highly reliable sources that the House Freedom Caucus is seriously considering doing to Ryan what it did to former Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) by threatening him with a privileged motion to vacate the chair. If a majority of the House supported the motion, Ryan would be removed immediately as speaker.

Getting 218 House Republicans to vote for a motion to vacate won’t be easy.

Ryan is a cowardly weasel who only cares about his own power, he cares nothing about our country.

He is the poster boy for everything wrong with the republican party.

Boot that loser out.

Forbes is establishment.

We are smarter than this.

Ryan is too useful to them to toss aside

if Trump gets them to approve term limits then i could see Ryan dumped..

I worked with a guy in 1981 who was obsessed with the Council or Foreign Relations. Back then no one would admit to being a member. Now they not admit to being members of the CFR, they’ll admit they attend Bilderberger meetings.

It would take a lot to get any of these people to accept “no” for an answer.

My proposal too. That would be a sweet revenge against Paul Ryan, the Traitor!

All you say is true, but describes the symptoms. My take on the root sickness is that a) Ryan is a globalist, in agreement with the leading Democrats, and b) McConnell is owned by money that is globalist.

As has been said many times here, the Dem-Rep divide no longer is relevant in government or politics. I would say vote out Ryan with a non-globalist Democrat, except that Democrats are completely trained to fall into line once in DC, no matter what they said in the campaign. Like fake “tea party” Republican candidates.

“I have to think the only reason the democrats aren’t focused on helping their man take Ryan’s district - is the DNC prefers to keep Ryan.”

Agreed. His district has been a rock-solid Dem stronghold for generations, mainly due to him and his RINO ways. It used to be a badge of honor to be a (R) in a (D) District and continually win...

...and now we know the REST of the story!

IIRC, he (said) he never wanted the position, anyhow. So, whether or not that’s true, if he’s ousted — hooray!

Yeah, but the discussion after the election will be who will be Speaker NEXT year. Not about removing Ryan.
(For one thing, Ryan is needed to take the blame for the lame duck budget vote LOL!)

One can only pray and hope. Surely there is someone more conservative that will stand up to the elites and hear what WE THE PEOPLE want!?!?!?

If the establishment is so powerful, then why are they so afraid of the people?

They need to start with him and get after about 200 more of these RINOs in this election. My own congresscritter has been there now for years and is basically worthless. Mike Rogers of Alabama, not the one up north. Rogers does nothing but collect a pay check. I used to hound him to death with emails, but finally just gave up as a waste of time. He is worthless as butt floss. Sits on his butt, gets a paycheck and great life time pension while not standing up for crap. Worthless piece of pond scum.

They are not afraid of us. The establishment wants to move forward, not take a step back.

In a trump presidency, Trump would destroy Ryan within the first 24 hours of Ryan resisting his platform.

Ryan knows this and will go all out to prevent a Trump win and disable a Trump victory, failing the former.
