Morning AB, Bray, All.

As always thank you for doing this thread every week, AB, thank you Bray for weekly wisdom the readers love and thank you yon commenters for providing us with observations to flesh it all out.

Got two, well three really but I won’t discuss my congressman, who I think may have been drunk, calling me up and telling me, for over 40 minutes, how he and “Jack” have it out every so often. Jack being Delaware Governor Jack Markell and to this day I don’t know what that was all about. Yes we have a history and all but….well heh, it was a hoot.

So we’ll begin with the Father Tom story because he told me something quite jolting.

I only met with my Pastor Father Tom Flowers due to a fluke. My bank sent me a new debit card, has a chip or something and all existing credit/debit cards are being replaced. The narrative warned to change all prior debit cards used to purchase items online, etc and I did my best to remember them all. Only I forgot the church and my weekly donation “bounced”. It had been so long ago that I set it up I needed the help of the church business manager and I went to the church office.

“Please don’t let Father Tom be there,” I prayed to God the whole drive because….well I just prefer he not be there.

Just as soon as I open the door I see Father Tom, who is quite big. “Hi, Pat,” he shouts. God never listens to my prayers sometimes it seems.

So I met with the business manager and we worked out all the kinks. As I was leaving, to meet with the BAPTIST PASTOR for God’s sake, Father Tom invites me back into the Business manager’s office. He wants to talk politics.

Well we did and Father Tom did tell me and the business manager about Nancy Pelosi, how he will quit the priesthood before he every marries two gay people, how he fears a revolt if Hillary gets elected and they will take over the church.

“I want to start teaching the parishioners how to handle persecution,” Father Tom said and I was jolted.

Could it really come to that? Then I think of ISIS and how they love to kill Christians and if Hillary wins she can allow their “refugees”-ie their “army” into the country….she will likely sell US Citizenship. Point being, once upon a time such thoughts would never happen. Now many of us consider it quite possible.

It was a fun discussion, as politics are when with other political junkees, but a little scary. The Catholic church is taking this quite serious.

Finally there is a most amazing story about my granddaughter, at least I think so.

She came to visit because her horrible mother lives in a homeless shelter and abandoned everybody, including sweet Kaitlyn, who is 12 years old, turning 13 in early December.

We had a great time with activities I planned including dying out that horrible blond in her hair that her father let her do cause he thought it would make him a cool Dad.

One of our activities had us visiting the local SPCA. For Kaitlyn does dearly love the pets, dogs yes but she adores cats. I told Kaitlyn that I was going to start a Blog featuring pets at the shelter, their pictures, their stories.

Kaitlyn goes into the SPCA and takes pictures of all the animals. “I’m going to do a Blog about MARYLAND pets up for adoption,” she says, and I snort. She’s 12 years old, only has an Iphone, no computer, how is she going to start a freaking Blog? Or so I think.

Well folks, hand to God and I got proof, Kaitlyn….our future first lady bear in mind when she marries Matthew Fish….DID START A BLOG AND SHE DID IT ALL ON AN IPHONE!

And I have proof!

Below the link to Kaitlyn’s Blog and hey, it’s far from perfect but let us bear in mind that is 12 and she did it all on an Iphone! Note how well she writes! Note how she figured out how to configure the Blog. She even posted many of the pictures she took, and included stories about Grandmom’s dogs.

Anyway, I worked for AT&T for 15 years back in my youth, the AT&T that was once a huge monopoly and I worked for AT&T when Reagan broke it up.

Since Trump is talking huge issues with big companies merging to take over entire markets I am going to tell my story about working for a monopoly and why America should be looking out for the problems they cause.
