I was incensed that CBS gave those snowflakes airtime. There were around a dozen of them, at the very most, but CBS touted it as if it were a major protest.
I noticed most students in front of the snowflakes were standing, black and white students. At least one black student had his hand over his heart during the anthem.
It should be noted that the majority of UA students are from outside Alabama and many from states such as California, New Jersey and New York, so it’s not really surprising that there are some liberal snowflakes on campus. As far as I know, UA is still considered a “moderate” University as far as political affiliation.
Shame on CBS for giving special attention to such few protestors.
