I attended a small GOP meeting in my local burg this AM to check out Darryl Glenn, the Colorado GOP candidate for U.S. Senate.
Darryl has repeatedly flip-flopped on his support for Trump.
I got to ask the first question, namely, "What's your stance on Trump?"
Darryl's answer: I've already voted for him.
His staff were covered with Trump/Pence stickers and they were available on his handouts table.
Later on, Steve House, Colorado GOP Chairman, made several very interesting remarks:
1. Trump is within 2 points of Hillary in Colorado and the NBC,etc. polls are completely bogus.
2. Republican candidates up and down the ticket will do well IF Trump does well in the state!
So, looks like the GOP has gotten the message LOUD AND CLEAR, at least in Colorado! Looks like they stuck a final finger up to test the wind and it got almost blown off by Hurricane Trump!
Darryl is a flip-flopper, but Trump needs the Senate and I got the strong impression that the GOP understands that if they have any chance at survival, they've got to line up to support Trump and that they understand if he gets elected, the GOP Congress will HAVE to support him as well. At least in Colorado. And I assume that with certain exceptions, much of the rest of the GOP campaign apparatus has figured this out as well.

Darryl has the right idea. It’s a binary choice. Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. For any conservative and for any Republican, the choice is obvious.
I wonder if they do have the message. Senator Portman got cocky during the attempted coup and said he'd "support Pence". Most Deplorables I know aren't voting for the traitor.
Now, elitist 'pubs have an excuse to shift gears, express (fake of course) outrage and get in line. Now that it's known that hillary goons committed what amounts to acts of terrorism at Trump rallies, there's no way the NeverTrumprs can enable her becoming President.

Regarding Colorado, I think Steve House said that not that many total ballots had been turned in yet. And BTW, none of the ballots here are counted until the official poll-closing time has elapsed, so all anyone can do is speculate based on the party affiliations of the ballots turned in.
Well, I don't think he's an idiot, but he's run a pretty crappy campaign, because nobody knows who he is.
At this point, hopefully people will vote for him to get rid of Bennet.

I am really glad you posted this. I wasn’t going to vote for him based on his public slamming of Trump after the tapes. Now I will. Corey Gardner is still on my no vote list.

With great misgivings I already voted for him, the Trump question was a big issue with me and it’s good you put it to rest.
I think that there may be a lot of cross over ballots so unless she has people filling out hundreds of fraudulent ballots (and that may be true) how would she know?
Team Trump thinks they are up in CO. This as of a couple of days ago.
It's extremely rare to find a politician who will do what is right. The vast majority of them will only do what is in their personal best interest. The political world, especially in Washington DC, corrupts even the most honest. Working-class freshmen Congress critters soon discover how easy it is to become millionaires within a year or so; the next thing you know, those pesky constituents back home are at the bottom of their priority list. Nice big homes with fancy security fences like Paul Ryan's get built, and highly-paid aides keep those smelly home-town people at arms length.
The only way to get their attention is via their keisters: make it hot, and they start to listen. Sometimes even that doesn't work, and they have to be Cantorized.
