Enabling the democrats to take Ryan's seat seems like a bad idea to me. Cheering about this is sort of like being proud when some libertarian throws an election to a 'rat by taking votes from the republican. "Act in haste, repent at leaisure."

For this one HoR seat, I’d be willing to vote for the GOP’s opponent, just as long as the rest of country votes GOP and keeps the House in GOP control.

Because an enemy is preferable to a traitor. Especially a back bencher enemy against a speaker of the house in a position to block the efforts of dear leader.

Ryan’s seat is filled with a democrat right now. He has just been in the closet. Trump has forced the door open and we see who Ryan is. Maybe next time we can get someone honest in there.

A lot of liberal-tarians vote for Rats for immoral social issues and globalist ideology, i.e. open borders and “free” trade.

“Enabling the democrats to take Ryan’s seat seems like a bad idea to me.” It isn’t just a bad idea it is stupid. There is no guarantee that Ryan will be Speaker.

Just swallow and put him back in the House. Just like I had to swallow and vote to return the odious Mark Kirk to the Senate. You don’t always get what you want but the Senate majority must be retained or the appointees to the courts will be thwarted.

I disagree. Losing a single seat in the House to issue such a rebuke for RINO behaviour would be worth it. Especially if Trump were to win that district at the same time. Don’t vote for the Dim, vote third party instead of Ryan.

What's the difference? Ryan votes for everything that Obama wants. He would do the same for Hillary. Plus, in 2 years, a more principled player could be put in. Sorry, Ryan has got to go.

It’s a House seat. There are hundreds of them. You never want to “lose” but this could easily be addition by subtraction.

After all, what message does it send if we keep railing against them and then reelecting them?
