‘Calibration Error’ Changes GOP Votes To Dem in Illinois County
Fox News ^ | October 22, 2016

Early voting in Illinois got off to a rocky start Monday, as votes being cast for Republican candidates were transformed into votes for Democrats.

Republican state representative candidate Jim Moynihan went to vote Monday at the Schaumburg Public Library.

“I tried to cast a vote for myself and instead it cast the vote for my opponent,” Moynihan said. “You could imagine my surprise as the same thing happened with a number of races when I tried to vote for a Republican and the machine registered a vote for a Democrat.”

He notified the election judge at his polling place and demonstrated that it continued to cast a vote for the opposing candidate’s party. Moynihan was eventually allowed to vote for Republican candidates, including his own race

What the heck is a “calibration error” anyway? Sounds like some kind of backdoor built-in cheat designed to give plausible deniability to the cheaters.

What is there to calibrate? When I was a kid in school we took all kinds of tests (including the SAT) using those forms you had to use a #2 pencil to fill the bubble of the correct answer. I remember a lot of kids very upset about their grades, but I never heard anyone explain their results owing to a “calibration error”. This is one of the simplest things to do. Just count the ballots. Not a lot of code.

So many computer systems doing so many things for us. Do ATM machines have calibration errors? I had to take my DMV written renewal test on a computer. How many people failed their DMV tests due to calibration errors?

We have a pencil fill in the bubble ballot. You take them to a scanner machine and they are fed into that by an election volunteer. I hold my breath that my vote is counted by the scanner. I’d sure like to get a receipt that shows where the vote went. How hard could that be?

We hear these anecdotes every four years and nothing is ever done to eliminate these kinds of machines. I remember that after the 2000 election, there was going to be a great effort to clean up the system nationwide. What happened to that?

Democrats. The voting machines where I live post a recap screen before you hit the "vote" button to lock in your vote. Don't ignore that. Take the time to double-check your votes. Another problem is dead spots in the touch screen where you can peck and peck and peck at your candidate's choice without response and, if you then test elsewhere on the screen - bammo - it votes for another candidate. Even then, the machines can take GOP votes and switch them to Democrat if they are programmed to do so. The better machines print out a paper copy of your vote when you are done which seems the most legit way so there is a paper trail of your electronic vote however, like printed receipts at the ATM or the gas pump, there's the extra expense of paper and the potential trash issue of all those receipts being printed. Further complicating the issue is that voting is a states-run enterprise, sometimes even county-by-county. It's not a federal-run process (thank God) or your votes would probably be placed under the control of a bunch of union (i.e. largely Democrat) workers. This is one of my major issues with mail balloting is the potential for union tampering.

“Calibration errors”always shift votes from democrat to republican, never the reverse. That is because America’s enemies on the left are corrupt and evil. Eventually we will learn from this and respond appropriately.

No, my comment merely pointed out that the article was from 2014 and was posted as if it’s from 2016.

People with fingernails that long should be disqualified from voting on grounds of stupidity.

Why is it that the calibration errors ALWAYS switch from R to D?

EVERYONE.......when you vote take the time to check and review what the machine indicates that you voted for who you were trying to vote for.

just some simple BASIC code

input P$
If P$ = Trump then P$ = Clinton

end

I for one would like to see acknowledgment from O’Keefe and Trump about knowing Smartmatic is run by Soros foundation member. And, them to call out the state’s which are at obvious risk.

We hear these anecdotes every four years and nothing is ever done .....

That's because they are not random. They seem to always favor Dems. Dems cheat, always....

There are different types of errors. Most are bilateral, with the uncertainty in either direction.

I think I’ve heard of a half-dozen or so of these incidents.
Have we ever heard of a calibration error that changes Democratic votes to Republican votes? Not me.

That means that it is likely deliberate, rather than accidental.

As a professional software developer for 30+ years... this is not difficult software. they are deliberately rigging the system

a solution is available... tho not for this election. If Trump some how wins after all the fraud, we need to push for a change to block-chain based voting

The electronic voting machines (many of which are owned or controlled by George Soros’ interests) automatically default to the Dim: They are calibrated that way. Always have been. This happens every election.

Fhios sez "The article is from the 2014 election. Misleading here with a 2016 publish date."

Herzo61 Sez "Based on your comment, all of the machines can be trusted and there is no chance for any voter fraud."

I don't know how you got anything other than the article was misleading. Usually things like this are tiresome click-bait with a 'breaking news' banner on them. I don't know about you, but I don't like being misled. Perhaps you thought you were responding to someone else.
