Colorado prosecutor: Marijuana-related murders are skyrocketing
American Thinker ^ | June 1, 2016 | Sierra Rayne

According to the latest reports coming out of Colorado, marijuana is a major cause of homicides in the state, and the problem is only getting worse.

"There is increased crime, sometimes violent crime, associated with legalization of marijuana," Brauchler said. "That's not what you'd expect. You'd expect the harder-core drugs." ... "If cash is the only way to acquire marijuana, crime follows cash," Brauchler said ... Brauchler believes the legalization of marijuana is partly to blame for the rise in crime. "It is easier for there to be black market in a legalized system than there was before," he said.

This all wasn't supposed to happen. The pot legalization advocates told us that legalized marijuana would reduce crime and effectively eliminate the black market. Now we have experienced and respected prosecutors saying they are seeing, firsthand, the exact opposite.

I don’t know

I was in Colorado week before last and asked where to go buy pot

I was told to hunt the green cross. Pot stores had a green cross

They do but I am not sure it means any more than three balls on a pawn shop or a stripped poll outside a barber’s.

And who could not see this coming.

We are passing through Colorado soon and I have been concerned about it. The thought of a pot laced population on the highways does not inspire thoughts of safety or comfort. Some associates who were partakers in the 70s have tried to convince me other wise but we called them stoners for a good reason. A mind under the influence of a drug, any drug including alcohol is not normal.

“If God in Heaven told you to stop placing one of His creations - the pot leaf - above Him, you would tell God to go to hell.”

God in Heaven has told us via Sacred Scripture has told us very clearly to have no other gods/idols before Him. If your scenario ever came to pass I would strive to be like Job.

May the Peace of Our Lord, Jesus Christ be with you & yours always.

Vote Trump 2016

If you actually read that Bible you’re preaching, you’ll see that God is not only perfectly fine with human beings using cannabis, He created that plant for the purpose of having us use it. Genesis 1 - you don’t even have to read too far in.

So if we’re talking idolatry, the actual idolatry in this conversation is you putting the opinions of men above the explicit instructions of God.

Using pot and idolizing/promoting pot are different things. Figure it out, you smug superior logic boy.

Promoting government is far far worse than promoting pot.

Genuine conservatives understand this implicitly.

You’re hallucinating: nowhere in my posts in this thread will you find any mention by me promoting government.

Figure it out, you smug superior logic boy.

Nowhere in this thread has anybody “idolized” pot, but that didn’t seem to stop you from throwing out the (false) accusation repeatedly, superior holy boy.

If you oppose prohibition, say so explicitly, otherwise it will be safe to assume that the repeated arguing against the points of those who do oppose prohibition is intended to support that tyrannical regime.

If you deployed your mad skillz in the use of logic, I wouldn’t have to spell everything out for you.

Perhaps you should open your mind while being a preachy prude for your pot religion and consider this: pot damages your mad skillz in the use of logic. :-D

So you have nothing to offer but relentlessly dishonest characterizations of others’ points of view... interesting, but not surprising.

You don’t need to spell anything out for me, thank you. Your deceptive nature does that perfectly.

Use of terms such as “idolize” and “promote” are a grossly dishonest description of opposition to government unlawfulness and violence against peaceful citizens. That you would use them tells me all about you and what you intend: that you support the (immoral, unlawful) prohibition regime and are willing to slander the patriots with the courage to oppose it in the face of such vilification.

You are fooling no one at all, yourself possibly excluded.

Blah blah blah.

You have no self awareness at all that your religion is pot. And you are a preachy prude for it.

Perhaps if you actually studied that Bible of yours, not with an eye towards confirming your pre-existing beliefs, but with genuine humility; perhaps if you personally were possessed of integrity and wisdom and learnedness, you would be able to formulate a position that could withstand the slightest critical analysis.

Promoting government is far far worse than promoting pot.

Why would someone want to promote pot? To make more addicts? Make money selling it? So it's not about "medical usage" after all, is it?
