Donald Trump made headlines this week when he questioned whether Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan wanted him to prevail over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
Maybe not, Trump told Good Morning America on Tuesday. Because maybe he wants to run in four years or maybe he doesnt know how to win. I mean, who can really know? Trump said.
The view that Ryan doesnt know how to win, however, neglects the reality that both Ryan and Clinton share a progressive, globalist worldview, which is at odds with Trumps America first approach. Indeed, both Clinton and Ryan have said that they see themselves as representatives not only for American citizens, but also for foreign nationals and foreign interests. This view that the needs of foreign citizens are equal to the needs of American citizens reflects the belief that Americans are only part of many interest groups that a lawmaker ought to consider when crafting legislationeven as he or she negotiates with other countries, which always put their citizens first.

Glad to see Ayotte going down the tubes in New Hampshire. She plays the Third Stooge alongside McCain-Graham, with always another press conference to call for another war.
I hope not. For example, those silly kipping “pull-ups” that he does will get someone injured without providing much health benefit.
He is a closet progressive. When he wanted to bolster his right-wing bonafides, he claimed to be a fan of Ayn Rand.
Rand is interesting only in a narrow sense. She wasn’t a good writer, and definitely not a subtle one. Her characters are cartoon stereotypes rather than well developed, complex people. She was herself a very unpleasant person, and ran a cult-like salon in which no one could question her. Although often associated with libertarianism, she was hardly an enemy of the state, arguing vociferously for war in Vietnam and for suppressing left radicals in the US.
She is, of course, a bugbear to progressives, and not without reason. She was more a house intellectual to the super-rich than a careful thinker.
It’s almost like he chose a writer that he thought conservatives unblinkingly admired. But why couldn’t he have chosen Hayek if he wanted to support classical liberalism?
And a Better Call Saul ref. wrapped in one.
You're late.
Challenger Nehlen was Ryanized 84 to 16.
This nation is at the Pitchfork stage.
Hence my tag line. He’s got to go. If not now, in 2 years.
Well said!
If Ayn Rand were alive she would be attacking Hillary Clinton loudly and clearly as the “shoot and loot” candidate and the major media as modern “witch doctors”.
Ryan has just been corrupted by big money—when that happens all politicians start speaking in word salads.
Paul Ryan for Weenie!!!
Resign, Ryan!! |
Not sure what he means by ‘classical liberal’. He is no Thomas Jefferson nor is he a Ludwig Von Mises.
With a bathhouse in the back....
I will never vote for Paul Ryan, for any office.
Or Globalist Republican Elite Establishment Democrats (GREED)?
Amen to that!
A key with creating new acronyms is that they can’t be the same as an existing word, for search engine reasons.
BLOAT was a good one that took off, (buy lots of ammo today), but it’s weakened by the fact that is also an existing word.
Paul Ryan is a multi millionaire who lives in one of the biggest mansions in Wisconsin. He will collect big $$ as a lobbyist or wall street “consultant”
Never Ryan!!!
I think you mean Tom Foley-ize.
