Eventually, the head-choppers will be executing those who refuse to take the 666 Mark of the Beast.
Because only those who have it can buy and sell in that “economy”.
It is so prophesied - state above all - including the God of Heaven.
Of course, it will not end well for them.......
I’ve always thought that same thing.
If employees make 400% more here, what is the overall impact on 500 items per hour?
Back when field workers were seeking higher wages, it occurred to me that $15.00 an hour would only add 7.5 cents to the cost of harvesting lettuce, if they had formerly made $0.00 per hour, and the field hand could harvest 200 heads of lettuce an hour.
I’m not a union guy, but I think there are wiser ways to handle production than moving them off shore.
I am convinced that Corporate bean counters would sell out their country to make an additional 1% profit. The margins are small here as labor is not a big component n most manufacturing. I didn’t say all, the garment industry is still very labor intensive. But most factory made goods have very little human contact.
That’s my take on it as well.
That was years ago.
About three, maybe four years ago I was working one Sunday morning when what I immediately recognized as a recent southern border crosser walked in. We were in Philadelphia, PA at the time.
He was a young man, looked fit, a little worn and faded as his backpack but smiling. Anyway, my recognition radar proved to be functioning properly when he spoke to the room in Mexican.
One of the guys I was working with was bilingual and started talking to him. The illegal's smile left just before he did.
Jose told us he wanted to know if this was the place to sign up for social security.
What changed south of the border? The tv programming?
>>Fortunately our standing Army is minuscule when compered to the total population.
If they are smart, and they are, they can leverage those small numbers with brutality. Remember that the largest demographic in America are the Millennials-people who need safe spaces, can’t handle “cyber”-bullying, and get triggered by Halloween costumes. The Boomers and most of Gen X are dependent on medications, so they’re an easy population to control, but the ones who are determined to go out on their own terms will be the real threat. They will be the shock troops, but they’re mostly one-shots.

USA, Canada and Mexico all living as one....
The US Army isn’t capable of invoking marshal law and occupy the USA. It is not physically possible. I figure it would take one infantry division per county. There are over 3000 counties in the USA.

They don’t have to. They only have to take the cities and suburbia and hold the inhabitants in, while they reach out tentacles into the countryside. You let the rural folk live out their subsistence life without antibiotics, gasoline, diabetes meds, etc. The tough ones will survive and even thrive, and whenever they try to get into the city, they’ll be on the turf of the army (which will include the nationalized police under Fed LE). Inside the cities and zones controlled by the Progressive Regime, life will be hard, but that’s the plan isn’t it? They want people to rat out their neighbor for an MRE. They want those military people to kill Americans because they know they have real meat back at the chow hall.
A guerrilla war will be fought and the guerrillas have a good shot at eventually winning something, maybe an agreement to be allowed to secede with some territory, but not all the oil and farm lands that people think they’ll get.
Like I said their is not enough to occupy NYC metro area.
Things to think about re: your comments.
Do you really think that there are enough active troops in CONUS that would be 100% loyal to a regime that called for martial law?
Regarding the cities. Below is the latest census for the top 15 in population. Protecting only those as well as force protection of every military base, depot, and armory pretty much swallows the bulk of the listed numbers.
The cantonment program effect in Malay, not so much in Viet Nam, for many reasons, simply would not work in the vastness of the contiguous 48 states.
Think logistics: food, fuel, equipment support and replacement. Talk about a long supply trail, much worse than the Pakistan to Afghanistan debacle.

From a height of 566,000 in FY 2011, the Armys end strength has shrunk to 490,000 Active Army soldiers in FY 2015.3 The ongoing debate between the White House and Congress (and within Congress) over funding levels as constrained by the BCA will determine whether the Army is able to sustain a projected end strength of 450,000the minimum force level required to execute the DSG4 or must reduce its end strength even further to 420,000 soldiers. It should be noted that in July 2015, the Army announced that it would accelerate its troop reduction timeline, shedding 40,000 soldiers by the end of FY 2018 to arrive at the 450,000 minimum outlined in the DSG.5 (Since these cuts are not in effect in FY 2015, they do not factor into the Army scoring for the 2016 Index.)
Operationally, the Army has 140,130 soldiers forward stationed across 150 countries.6 This is a slight decline from the previous years level of 150,090 soldiers.7 Of these 140,130 soldiers, approximately 45,000 are actively engaged in named operations, with the Army maintaining less than 8,000 soldiers in Afghanistan, a dramatic decline from the 32,000 stationed there in 2014.8
Also think in terms of non-English speaking troops under the aegis of the UN as peacekeepers.
If you have the imagination, think in terms of drones with missiles and chemicals added to the water supply that would render you unconscious for 48 hours.
Know your enemy.
uh huh.... and just exactly where are the fortified bases for all these SWAT units?
They are commuter forces only, 9-5 ticket punchers. First time they are national deployed they’ll have an effect, after week 2, the routes to their staging points will be known as well as their supply depots and Table of organization and equipment.
They all get those green checks from US Treasury department... do you think that’s harder to crack than the wikileaks treasure trove? Do you think it’s secure even today. Names and addresses of immediate family with FB providing broader links.
UAV’s and smaller drones... how secure are the op and control codes once they are deployed against civilians.
Today, right now, without resorting to the internet I know of at least four small arms caches of such folk as you describe located in my dense suburban area. Knowledge of which has been acquired by merely observing in my day to day routines due to sloppy security.
And you can count on people far, far more serious and able than this old man have that intel and more in hand.
And final caveat.... don’t even imagine 100% loyalty among any armed government units. First point of contact after opening shots will very likely be within the units themselves. Every modern coup attempt has had that happen to some degree or another. Turkey being the latest one.
So yeah, know your enemy. But get the best intel you can.
The other side if the coin is capital investments. Most of the older companies reinvested their capital in the business. After a few decades, that investment becomes a huge liability. Piecemeal a moderately sized business, and the bean counters can boost returns right now. Of course it destroys the business long term, but no one cares.
I call it our time the Esau Generation. They are selling their inheritance for a mess of pottage. Unlike the prodigal, they will have no home to return to...
Insider threat is a bitch ain’t it ......:o)
I’ve been a long time advocate of getting out of the UN. Last week I private mail two people that I consider to be intelligent FReepers and asked this question. “What would happen to Israel if we got out of the UN? Would the Arabs claim it no longer had a right to exist and start a full fledged war?”
I didn’t receive a reply from either of them. Perhaps you may know the answer.
Israel doesn’t need the UN to protect them against the muzzies. Some Higher Power will take care of it. Besides, they have nukes and I don’t think that they will be afraid to use them if need be.
>>Like I said their is not enough to occupy NYC metro area.
Like I said, a majority of Americans would not resist and they would rat out the ones who would.
Sooner or later, the EBT cards won’t work or the brownouts will begin and then the SHTF. The government will shelter in place and let us kill each other for a while and then “restore” order.
I would not be surprised if Iran doesn’t have them too.
Tis the truth. Megacorp I worked at outsourced, and it was an utter failure. Couple of years into the project, they brought most of it back onshore. The COO was “allowed” to retire. Everyone else who was involved, or who could spell outsourcing, from the VP on down, was canned.
You can’t outrun karma. :-)
