Why is Project Veritas not generating the outrage it should? (VANITY)
Project Veritas ^ | 10/21/2016 | Myself

Posted on 10/21/2016 6:41:05 AM PDT by rlmorel

James O'Keefe has produced documentation in his Project Veritas endeavor which has produced two videos that I know of to date (which can be found on Youtube as well, Part 1: Rigging the Election - Video I: Clinton Campaign and DNC Incite Violence at Trump Rallies and Part 2: Rigging the Election - Video II: Mass Voter Frauds.

I have watched these two videos, and the content astonishes me. But let me clarify that they do not astonish me the way they might astonish or startle many Americans, because the tactics are not new, I have seen evidence of this before, and being enough of a student of Liberalism to understand it better, I realize this is who they are and how they function.

I took the time to read Alinsky's work, and to read the books Obama has supposedly written as well to better understand the actions and tactics of liberals, and while absolutely none of it has surprised me, it has certainly disgusted me, particularly Alinsky, who is a demi-god to most upper ranking liberals today, significantly Obama and Clinton.

So, that doesn't surprise me at all that they are inciting violence, engaging in voter fraud, and breaking election laws left and right. As James O'Keefe says in the first video, there is strong evidence of criminality.

What surprises me is the level of smug arrogance the leftists in these videos exhibit, openly bragging about their activities, and the realization they feel obviously empowered to do this because they believe their backs are covered by the Administration, DNC, and other arms of the government populated under direct control of leftists "down with the cause" of liberalism and the tactics used to advance it. Arms such as the FBI, the DOJ, etc.

This is what the last eight years of Obama has brought to us.

The reason I am starting this thread is to discuss why this is not taking hold. It simply isn't because the news media is suppressing it, which they clearly are. It isn't because the candidates and national parties don't want to discuss it openly, which they don't. There is more to it. On the face of it, this should be exploding even with those factors.

the video is irrefutable. It is specific. It has times, places, and people.

It isn't video taken out of context, it is completely in context.

It isn't audio that might be faked. It is video of highly recognizable people, in expected locations, speaking on camera.

The people aren't nobodies, rogue operators, fringe players, autonomously operating on their own. These are two significant players who, between them, have visited the White House nearly 350 officially recorded times, and met PERSONALLY with the President of The United States 40+ times. Forty times. Watch the video, listen to what they say, and think about that. Nearly 350 visits overall in eight years to the seat of American political power, and met personally with ostensibly the most powerful political figure on earth. Again, watch the video, listen to what they say, and think about that.

When I saw this video, it impressed me as having the potential to be the most significant political developments in modern American political history. It should be generating a 9.6 earthquake on the political Richter Scale. Why isn't even barely registering, even taking into account the media and national party attempts to suppress it?

I recognize there are many factors at play, and it has only been a few days since this video was released. The Watergate scandal took several weeks to begin percolating.

I have also been told that these to key players, Robert Creamer and Scott Foval, are bit players, unknowns. My response to this is two-fold: First, these two men are not unknowns. They have been to the White House hundreds if times, Robert Creamer has even been photographed shopping with Michelle Obama. Secondly, in the past, people like Virgilio González, Bernard Barker, James McCord, Eugenio Martínez, and Frank Sturgis were real nobodies, and that didn't stop a political tsunami.

So, lets talk. What is this, why is this, in a time when it should explode with shock waves to the top of the White House and DNC, is this quietly sitting there?

I disagree with that, naps...but only because it makes them appear as if they really DO want to air them.

Where I do agree (in concept) is that it gives them a ready excuse to do what they want to do anyway, which is suppress it.

Everyone in general knows the truth. A slim majority of the country doesn’t care how crooked Democrats are and will vote for them. This is the same majority that elected Obama twice. The country was lost then and is still lost.

They. Don’t. Care.

Voter fraud disenfranchises the true sovereigns of a Republic as designed by the founders. That’s right, disenfranchises, as in cancels through criminal behavior, like the Project Veritas has exposed with VIDEO. Creamer and Focal are not just thugs, they are treasonous bastards in need of trial and execution!

“Did he doctor them up? What did he do, exactly?”

One of the comments from here:
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/fivepoints/planned-parenthood-tissue-video

“This isn’t fake, it’s just a heavily edited video that tries to make it look like PP is “selling” fetal material. You’re seeing 8 minutes of an almost 3 hour video. If you view the full video you’ll see that Dr. Nucatola makes it clear that the $30-$100 is to cover the cost of shipping the bio-genetic material. Nothing is being “sold” here.”

I did a quick search but couldn’t find anything from a conservative viewpoint.

I’ve monitored this evil for more than two decades. You don’t want to know the full truth of this evil in our midst. It is far worse than you can even imagine ... unless you can fathom a full fetal person currier shipped to a research lab in the same town in NC and when the ice chest is opened the little one is still just barely alive and struggling for breath and is dismembered for ‘parts’.

It's called normalcy bias and it is very real and troubling...

Normalcy bias occurs when people are faced by a traumatic situation or something so dramatic that the person has no point of reference, no past experiences to rely on to base judgement calls on. Often the event seems so surreal that the person's only way of dealing with it is to decide that what they have seen happen or is happening is not real and it is as if to them as it isn’t real, then there is no need to do anything or that someone will be along shortly to set things right. Our country is changing right before our eyes and most people can't or won't see it.

Hat tip to the Survival Mom.

Because the leadership of a nation is, in the end, reflective of the population that elect or tolerate them.

I think your comment is spot on. Of my family and friends, I am the only one I know of that actually does any looking around on what’s being said and told to the masses. Most everybody relies on what they are spoon fed by the media. They might not trust them implicitly after talking with me, but neither do they search out information. We are the unusual ones.

I agree with you 100% MHGinTN.

There is no question in my mind that the media wants to suppress it, which is one thing. But, as another posted said earlier in the thread, it is entirely possible that there are a large number of people who can’t bring themselves to face the issue, because...if you accept the video, then...you have a big problem.

People like you and me...we recognize (and have for some time) that there IS a big problem. Now we have proof.

Which is good and bad. If nothing comes of it, then we are no longer a Republic, we are a Banana Republic.

Great post, I read that book too, very, VERY powerful. And I think you are onto something as well.

Our Republic is sick, that is evident, but it isn’t just one thing, it is a spectrum of things, which is why I wanted to discuss it with Freepers.

A lot of people not only don’t want to discuss it, I think, they don’t even want to acknowledge it.

Whoa. Never saw that. That does not surprise me even a smidgen. But it is always unsettling to see that.

Typical in totalitarian regimes.

Yesterday, I went to ten major media entities, NYT, LAT, WP, BG, etc. Out of all of those, only two had ANYTHING on their home page. Of the two (and the NYT was one) they had a pissy little lukewarm “below the fold” byline article. It had so little specifics to it.

When you go on today to the NYT homepage, where do you think that little, obscure article is on their home page?

I’ll tell you: nowhere. You can scour their home page and not even find a single reference or mention of the perps, Veritas, the videos...anything. Nothing.

Now, does that mean they aren’t “reporting” it? Of course not. If you are focused and know how, you can find it.

Just like the retractions that the NYT prints on its slanderous articles that come out on page 16 (if that fishwrap is even that long anymore) behind the want ads, next to the songbird sightings in upstate New York, that encompass two sentences of disembodied retraction.

So I would disagree with you. As another poster said, if they print one line or paragraph, they can ignore it after that and say they covered it.

Holy smokes. Thanks for that link, that was really well put together!

I was able to follow it, then, like someone who has been shown the tricks used by a card shark, you can watch the original video again and see it as if there were a neon sign on it!!!!!!!!

That is one reason I am extremely pessimistic.

I have long been a believer in the concept that there is a fabled “tipping point” that exists, when the people who will vote for free candy outnumber the votes of the people who will pay for the candy.

I believe it is that same dynamic at work here with the type of people being elected.

Just to be clear, I don’t turn on CNN or go to the Washington Post (except to research something like this) because I stopped watching television, reading papers or magazines (like Newsweak) around 15-20 years ago.

Like a lot of people, I can stay informed without being spoon fed what someone wants me to know. I can look at disparate sources of information and use my own intellect to sort out the wheat from the chaff.

I don’t think it is too far off base to point out that there is a problem with the institutions that should ostensibly disseminate news, but instead practice advocacy, and the effect that has on something like this.

And I don’t blindly accept what I see here on FR, though I do use FR as a jumping off point for research on contemporary news. Sounds like you do too, and a lot of others here.
