UMass Amherst Creates 'Flow Chart' to Determine If Your Halloween Costume Is Offensive

The University of Massachusetts, Amherst has created a handy flow chart for students to help them determine what NOT to wear as a Halloween costume.

Devised by UMass Amherst’s official diversity office, the “‘Simple Costume Racism Evaluation and Assessment Meter’ (S.C.R.E.A.M.) … poses several costume-related questions, the answers to which take one to various points on a ‘threat meter’ that ranges from green (low) to red (severe),” Campus Reform reported on Tuesday.

For example, “If one intends to represent a person on Halloween, the only way to get a ‘green’ threat rating is for the person to be of one’s own race. If one represents a person of another race, the ‘threat level’ increases roughly in conjunction with the amount of makeup that one intends to use.”

Halloween season has proven a time of year fraught with peril on college campuses, particularly in the liberal Northeast.

In December 2015, Erika Christakis, a lecturer at Yale, announced her resignation after being hounded for weeks by campus activists after Ms. Christakis sent an email to students defending the freedom of students to wear controversial Halloween costumes of questionable taste.

So, in South Park, both Cartman’s Hitler costume and “ghost” costume would be approved for cultural sensitivity? Good to know.

Blackface, check. Sombrero sporting a big “Make Mexico Great For Once” sign, check. Shirt featuring an image of Mohammed’s ugly mug with a time bomb on his head, check. “Rag heads out of Israel” pins, check. Toilet paper with Koranic verse for throwing at the campus Islamic center or prayer room, check.

Memo to Halloween-celebrating college students nationwide: if you want to trigger snowflakes to unprecedented levels of hysteria, you now have all you need.

First one I have no idea.

Second homeless person?

Third is suppose to be one of Bill Cosby's victims?

Fourth is a mohammedan

Fifth is probably suppose to be St Travon of Martin but he has the drink wrong which kind of ruins the joke.

Best scary costume award would go to anyone who dresses up as a UMass Amherst diploma...

That there are people this stupid in positions of authority at a university would make me turn as pale as a ghost*.

* According to that flow chart, ‘pale as a ghost’ is good to go, at least for me. Oh, wait a minute - is a ghost considered to be a ‘person’? Do ghosts have a ‘race’? Does it matter whether it’s a ‘friendly’ ghost or not?

But I am still confused - leftist idiots continually tell us that ‘race’ is not real, rather that it’s only a ‘social construct’. So WTF are the idiots in the UMass Amherst’s official diversity office talking about ‘race’ if it doesn’t actually exist? Do they actually pay people to be that stupid? Oh, it’s a government school - of course they do, my bad...

So, I can’t go UMass Amherst in black face, pretend I’m Bill Cosby, and drag a blow up doll behind me?

I visited the campus as a “yout” in the 1970’s and it was moonbat central back then, too.

I like how the only answer to whether you would feel comfortable being shown on TV in-costume is “no”. What if you don’t mind?

I noticed that too. I guess if your answer is 'yes' then the test is over since those giving it will run screaming whilst seeking their safe space.

Never liked Halloween or dressing up in costumes much (except for the candy). This ridiculousness just gives me more of an excuse to ignore it.
