The former major league pitcher has had political aspirations for some time
Curt Schilling, who pitched for parts of 20 seasons in the major leagues and won 216 career games, has announced his intention to run for U.S. Senate against Democrat Elizabeth Warren in Massachusetts. Here's what Schilling said on Tuesday:
Schilling, 49, self-identifies as a conservative, and has established himself as a controversial political gadfly since retiring from baseball in 2007. Schilling previously said he would run for president in 2020 or 2024.
As for Warren, 67, she's in her first term in the Senate. In 2012, she defeated Scott Brown with 53.7 percent of the vote and in doing so became the first woman from Massachusetts to serve in the U.S. Senate. Earlier this year, Warren registered a 61 percent approval rating.

I think it was him I saw in an interview a couple of weeks ago. Sounded as conservative as they come and very, very outspoken. I liked it.
He’s got MY vote.
He has a chance as long as he doesn’t buckle when it comes to issues like abortion and homosexual marriage.
Oh goody. The Red Sox vs. the Indians.

Damn, you’re good!
Yeah!
Shilling has already made a commercial for the Senate election.

I’m still waiting for Mike Ditka.
HA!HA!HA!
Note the CBS writer describes “conservative” Schilling as a “gadfly”, since retiring.
He’s very conservative and he has a damn good shot. He’ll win everywhere but the cities and only has to do well enough in those to get the win, much like Baker did. With his Red Sox history I think he can do it.
Warren hasn’t done a damn thing in the Senate and people here know it. She’s left a very bad taste in people’s mouths with her shrill crap going after Trump.
As far as going after him because of his failed business, that’s easily defendable. The video game industry is brutal.
He’s got my vote.
You win the internets
Not just horrible...crooked.A good friend of mine made the mistake of doing business with him and was *badly* burned.Part of that matter involved info he had on the Schillings that he wound up sending to Federal investigators in DC.His situation made newspapers nationwide. And even more importantly the Schillings are under investigation regarding the disappearance of $75 million.
Now, if we could get Tom Brady to run...
A much, much,*much* better option. But count on the Rats to chant "deflategate"....among other things.
I felt the well known and very popular Shilling should have run years ago but instead the Mass. Republicans chose an unknown State Senator in Scott Brown.
(Scott Brown won by the way, to later lose an election to Elizabeth Warren))
Since that opportunity for Schilling past, he has picked up baggage with his recent bankruptcies, and won't be as good a candidate. -Tom

LOL! :-D
“Oh goody. The Red Sox vs. the Indians.”
LOL
Compare to other MA pols, I'll take him.
Great news
Wrong. John Kerry.
If people can now "self identify" as whatever sex they choose, then I can identify THEM as whatever sex I choose! Who are THEY to judge me? 😏
