It would cost billions to protect the electric grid from an EMP event.
But, the staggering human cost of not protecting from such a catastrophic sun event or attack is not difficult to imagine.
Far more likely a one or two bomb attack from high altitude here by the Norks, Iran, China, or Russia than a big belch from the sun.

Their will be a new report about a solar flare in the MSM followed by a satellite launched EMP Nuke going off over Kansas or the eastern coast a few hours later....
It would have the same effect, however, it would be easy to determine if we EMPed ourselves, as all we would have to do is check with countries in the southern hemisphere how bad they got hit.

What this is about is that Obama is planning to launch a cyber-attack on Russia, and if the response is to knock our grid out as well, then he will be able to take control under martial law under this executive order
