FBI Agents See Director Comey As A ‘Dirty Cop,’ Says Former U.S. Attorney

FBI Director James Comey’s decision to not file charges against Hillary Clinton over her unauthorized and unsecure email server was controversial. It led to a backlash against him by conservatives that was also dotted with disbelief and shock. It led to him appearing before congressional hearings for further questions, given how damning his press conference was on July 5 about the agency’s findings. During that press conference, he said that 110 emails on 52 separate chains contained classified information, that Clinton and her staff were extremely careless in handling sensitive information, and that there were three emails that they recovered, which were classified at the time these communications were sent or received. But Hillary Clinton might not have known these were sensitive since the documents weren’t properly marked. In fact, she didn’t know that “c” stood for classified. Wikileaks’ Julian Assange denies that claim, saying that Clinton is lying.

If anything, as Chuck Todd and others noted, Comey’s July 5 press conference was GOP attack ad gold and offered an indictment of her judgment as president. That point would never be made; the Trump campaign never did any ads immediately after Comey’s presser. Regardless, the FBI is apparently at odds over their boss’ decision not to file charges. Fox News reported from a high-level source that said that the agents involved in the email investigation were “disgusted” by Comey’s refusal to file charges, and that virtually everyone investigating thought that Clinton’s security clearance should be revoked. Guy wondered if any DOJ or FBI officials/agents would resign over their grievances with Comey. That remains to be seen. The latest news from the grapevine is that the FBI is revolting against Comey, and that agents view him as a “dirty cop,” according to a former U.S. attorney (via American Spectator):

“I know that inside the FBI there is a revolt,” Joseph diGenova tells The American Spectator. “There is a revolt against the director. The people inside the bureau believe the director is a dirty cop. They believe that he threw the [Hillary Clinton email] case. They do not know what he was promised in return. But the people inside the bureau who were involved in the case and who knew about the case are talking to former FBI people expressing their disgust at the conduct of the director.”

The loss of faith in the bureau chief stems in part from a dishonest rendering of the decision not to indict Mrs. Clinton as unanimous rather than unilateral and in part from the bureau’s decision to destroy evidence in the case and grant blanket immunity to Clinton underlings for no possible prosecutorial purpose.

“There is a consensus among the employees that the director has lost all credibility and that he cannot lead the bureau,” diGenova explains. “They are comparing him to L. Patrick Gray, the disgraced former FBI director who threw Watergate papers into the Potomac River. The resistance to the director has made the agency incapable of action. It has been described to me as a depression within the agency unlike anything that anyone has ever seen within the bureau. The director’s public explanation for the unorthodox investigation are viewed by people in the bureau as sophomoric and embarrassing.”

The Spectator added that the FBI’s own notes cited Clinton aides destroying old Blackberries (Clinton had 13 devices) with hammers, which isn’t State Department policy. The publication also adds that agents are now a bit on edge that Congress could subpoena them over Comey’s handling of the investigation.

We’ll keep you updated. But, regarding the dirty cop remark, things look like they’re getting worse over there.

"I hope you're right"

I'm always RIGHT, lol....and, after watching the Left destroy, infiltrate, weaken, wrest control of....and/or smear most of our historic American institutions and organizations these past decades, I refuse to stand idly by while any more of them are taken down, even by some on our OWN SIDE, in the Left's strategy to destroy a fine agency such as the FBI because a few traitors such as Comey and his coterie are in its midst.

This is playing the Left's game....and I find it deplorable...and I won't play!

Comey is more dangerous because he is supposed to be a republican. Same as Fox News, Chris Wallace, John McCain, Linda Graham etc. The enemy within is always far more dangerous than any external foe.

I lost my respect for the FBI/BATF at Ruby Ridge, Waco, Oklahoma City, and during the TWA 800 investigation.

If you get right down to it, their failure to step in concerning the death investigation of Vince Foster was very unsettling.

They let a little local Park Police officer with no prior homicide investigative experience run that investigation.

I grew up idolizing the FBI. I didn’t come to this conclusion on the spur of the moment. I watched their agents sit in Congress and lie their behinds off.

The FBI investigation of TWA 800 was downright insulting.

I understand where you are coming from. I’m sorry to be in the state I am regarding trusting the agency.

In the Navy, COs are relieved from command do to lack of confidence in their ability to command.

In the Just Us department, you keep your job and get a nice “pension.”

Or a house on the lake.

What would you have those UNDER him do?

Resign and go do something else. They're all just check takers until they're not.

"I lost respect for the FBI/BATF at Ruby Ridge, Waco, Oklahoma City and during the TWA 800 investigation....their failure to step in concerning the death investigation of Vince Foster was very unsettling."

I have complete respect for the FBI, for our local police departments, for our intelligence agencies, for our military services and for all historical law investigation/enforcement agencies serving our country from its founding.

The Left is doung a pretty good job of smearing them all, causing us to distrust our LE, and destroying our institutions.

I do not hold our American law enforcement agencies and their employees accountable EN MASSE for the grievous misdeeds of any corrupt, errant associates or higher-ups serving dishonorably in the Service....and I don't expect them to destroy their careers and face personal law suits for whistle-blowing right before the election without strong evidence against Comey, a political appointee. The evidence will out sooner or later.

Let's look at the facts regarding "who and what" during the events mentioned above....and who was president-in-charge during those years.

The Vince Foster affair, 1993, Bill Clinton.....TWA 800, 1996, Bill Clinton.....Ruby Ridge, 1994, Bill Clinton.....Waco, 1993, Bill Clinton.....Oklahoma bombing, 1995, Bill Clinton.

We know that during all these events, Clinton and Hillary were pulling all the strings behind the scenes, scheming, manipulating, making wrong decisions, covering up, shifting blame plus controlling the investigations of our FBI/BATF because THE CLINTON's WERE THE CONTROLLING POWER over the heads of these agencies !

Yet, some folks here want to pin all the blame on the FBI agency itself and the thousands of agents and employees in DC and in the field across the country and tarnishing the agency's reputation forever soley for the misdeeds and treason of Comey and any of his cohourts.

And just as the Crooked Clintons were in charge in Waco and the above mentioned events, look who's in charge of appointed FBI Director Comey...why, it's no one else but president Barak Hussein Obama !

The fish rots from the Oval Office on down to his rotten political appointees such as Comey, Lois Lerner, etal !

Leave innocent FBI agents out of this scandalous email affair and lay your frustration and anger where it belongs!

I one hundred percent agree. The corruption is located on the top rungs of the FBI ladder, the abject frustration resides on the lower rungs.

Glad to hear it but "where's the beef?", as the saying goes. It's looking like all those people who stated they would leave the country if George Bush was elected and those who say the same thing about Trump. When it actually comes down to doing it, they balk. Maybe it's because they don't want to forfeit careers in the FBI. Maybe they know not enough people would actually go through with it to make any difference. Or maybe they fear that Hilliary will be elected and she will get her revenge. I'll believe it when I see it.

You're correct...the actual Ruby Ridge 2-day shooting incident happened in 1992 right near the end of GHWB's presidency, but the subsequent investigations and final reports by the government-appointed Ruby Ridge Task Force occurred in 1994/95 under president Bill Clinton (well after Bush left office).

I myself have said “if good men do nothing, are they truly good men?”
