Bill Clinton compromised Lynch to provide a reason for her to turn the prosecution decision over to Comey. Clinton knew Comey was their creature. It’s the DoJ’s job to make the call about indicting. Bill did not have confidence in Lynch, or the tarmac conference would not have occurred.
Does NR claim that Obama had a massive off-the-books email situation, far beyond the 30 or so messages to Hillary that have been outed so far? The Clinton’s might be blackmailing Obama with something, but I doubt that this was it.

I like the theory that Obama and Lynch threatened Comey with prosecution and removal from his job for unlawful interference with a federal election if he indicted her and she was forced to drop out. It’s bizarren enough to be credible.

No. They let her go because the FBI head and Justice head are both her people. Or rather, they and she are both minions of the same shadow-people.
There was never a chance Comey, who has made a career of cleaning up after the Clintons, was going to do anything other than clear her. He has become wealthy doing what he does. I’m surprised he went as far as he did criticizing her publicly.
